I am now 32 weeks pregnant! How does that happen?!?! I am getting excited and slowly but surely getting things ready.

I have a question though. For those of you that have had more children since placing your birth child do you include your birth child in the number of kids you have? Like when someone asks in the grocery store if this is your first or how many you have do you include your birth child?

Yeah I generally say I only have Leila. It isn't worth trying to explain to everyone and most people, even those you know well, are very uncomfortable with the whole situation. Of course I tell doctors etc that this is my 3rd pregnancy.

I usually do.. only because we have three girls.. and it shocks people.. then I say, "well, we actually have four girls" then their chin really drops. lol I tell pretty much anyone.. I am very open about it. Heck, you never know who you can touch with your story.

sometimes I do and sometimes I don't it really depends on if I feel comfortable telling the person asking that I have four girls.

My BD is going to 17 this August and yes I include her. I have three children now
(15,13 and 8) and they all know about her so they are quick to mention her all the time.Since the adoption was open we continued contact throughout the years so my two oldest were able to meet her and talk about her all the time.

Usually no. Not because I'm ashamed of my daughter or anything like that, but because it is just harder. Then people either give me rude comments, or start asking a ton of questions. I don't mind answering questions for some people, but the lady checking me out at Walmart doesn't need to hear my story. KWIM?
