Do you remember I was talking about how each new moon corresponds to an astrological sign?
This is because the moon enters different astrological houses as it orbits the earth. For this reason, full moons also correspond to an astrological sign - whichever sign they are "in" when the new or full moon occurs.
Strangely enough, after I asked whether anyone wanted me to dig around and find any more information about this, there was a whole article on it in a magazine I read! So here is a summary of the information, in my own words!
New Moons - Starting projects or magickal workings, new beginnings, fertility
Jan 26th - Aquarius - SOLAR ECLIPSE
Feb 25th - Pisces
Mar 26th - Aries
Apr 25th - Taurus
May 24th - Gemini
Jun 22nd - Cancer
Jul 22nd - Cancer - SOLAR ECLIPSE
Aug 20th - Leo
Sep 18th - Virgo
Oct 18th - Libra
Nov 16th - Scorpio
Dec 16th - Sagittarius
Full Moons - Completion of a cycle, culmination of magickal workings, success
Jan 4th - Cancer
Feb 9th - Leo
Mar 11th - Virgo
Apr 9th - Libra
May 9th - Scorpio
Jun 7th - Sagittarius
Jul 7th - Capricorn - LUNAR ECLIPSE
Aug 6th - Aquarius - LUNAR ECLIPSE
Sep 4th - Pisces
Oct 4th - Aries
Nov 2nd - Taurus
Dec 2nd - Gemini
Dec 31st - Cancer - LUNAR ECLIPSE
When the new or full moon is in YOUR astrological house, it is particularly potent for any work you wish to do.
Remember you do not only have a sun sign (your birth sign), you also have a moon sign and an ascendant. So potentially there are 3-6 lunations in one year which have special significance and power for you.
In addition, the astrological houses have special significance in particular life areas. So even when it's not "your" month, using the new/full moon energy for those particular areas will align you more with the natural rhythms and journey of the moon and make your magickal or spiritual working more powerful.
ARIES: Independence and fighting for what you want

AQUARIUS: Friends, social life, teamwork and charity
PISCES: Creative work, dreams, romance & compassion
It isn't in the article but I feel inspired to say you may also wish to experiment with using the element corresponding to the astrological house during your workings.
ARIES, LEO, SAGITTARIUS: FIRE - Candles (lit or unlit if necessary), light box
TAURUS, VIRGO, CAPRICORN: EARTH - Earth, pebbles, crystals
GEMINI, LIBRA, AQUARIUS: AIR - Incense, feathers, wand
CANCER, SCORPIO, PISCES: WATER - Water (fresh or salt), shells
I've just gone in to work on the calendar and realised that all the full moons are dated wrongly on this list!!
I have checked 4 websites now and all give the same dates, starting Jan 11th. Besides I SAW the moon in the sky on Jan 10th (I was working off my GS calendar) - and believe me, it was as close to being full as I've ever seen it!!!
I will have to edit this list now or it'll drive me crazy!
Just goes to show, don't trust everything you read in magazines!
