Ostara is on March 20 this year. That's so soon! Do you do anything special? We've always done non-religious stuff but this year I want to incorporate some pagan traditions into our celebration. Not sure what yet. Looking for ideas!
We havent celebrated in a couple of years. However, this year we wanna do something simple yet nice too.
We've decided to color eggs(so our sons can join in) and we'll add markings for things we need or desire/want,etc.
I hear another lady talk about doing this only dying raw eggs so they were easier to break and allow the desire to go out into the Universe easier. But I dont really have a way to do that cuz I live in an apartment complex and I dont really wanna drive to a park or somewhere with raw eggs just to bust them on some other property LOL. Nor do I want to bust them in my sink, I feel it should be done outdoors and into the Universe that way.
Sooooo, we are gonna dye and mark them then bless them at night under the moon and then Ill cook them up for egg salad or the like the next day. I figure we are sending our desires out into the Universe but also ingesting as a sign of working on the desires ourselves. So an outward and inward symbol...so to speak.
~My thanks to *Kiliki* for the siggy and Lucy S for the blinkies~
not sure yet but i really like the idea coloring an egg and blessing it. though, im wondering if you could consume it (not raw of course ) to make the blessing and your spirit as one? kinda symbolic like? whats your thoughts?
i do think we will have egg salad for lunch but im not sure about dinner yet.
what to cook, what to cook? i also want to make a bread to go with it or some kind of special desert. what are you all cooking?
although, in my ritual i want to put in something to help with the disaster healings too. just gotta sit and figuar it all out.
