(Can be used in spells - I have a bunch of them which I'll post as I use them - I have posted one for wealth today in the Mabon thread in the Wheel of the Year subforum - or for general protection in the home, ie sprinkling salt in the corners of a room).

You can use ordinary salt but if you prefer, sea salt or rock salt. I've used sea salt.

Pour some salt into a clean bowl and place on a windowsill on the night of a full moon. The next day, hold the bowl and say:
"By the power of Mother Moon, I purify this salt, making its magical powers work in my favour. So mote it be."
Imagine you are infusing the salt with the energy of the moon and your own natural power (and, I would say, love). Then pour the magic salt into a clean, empty jar (I have one soaking in the washing up tub to get the label off and make sure it's squeaky clean!), close it and tie a white ribbon around it to reinforce the salt's purity.
(If you don't have any white ribbon, look inside your white clothes - there are sometimes thin ribbons sewn inside for hanging them! That's where my white ribbon has come from!!)

Again I have not yet tried this, I'm trying it for the first time tonight, so until I post some feedback if you do this you're testing it along with me!!
