I did this in 2010. I have to say, I did have a good year in 2011, with my career prospects looking up and getting pregnant within 3 months of TTC. So it may well be worth doing!! So I'm going to do it again this year, and Tasha asked about it, so I dug out my old post about it on PL and here it is for anyone who wants to use it.


I've also used the pumpkin seeds as a spell for happiness for me and my family in the coming year - I've included Shaun in that. Basically I have surrounded the bowl of seeds with orange candles, and visualised golden rain showering down on our house and Shaun's boat, and on me, mum, Daniel and Shaun and also threw a thought in there about all those I love and care about (that includes you ladies of course)!! Then, while lighting the candles, I said 9 times "All that is good on this All Hallows' Eve, will shower us all with this magic I weave, so mote it be". Now letting the candles basically burn down this evening. I've used 5 and they almost made a kind of pentacle shape. The candles were supposed to be white, but I didn't have any white ones, nor any time to buy or make any, and I figured orange would work because orange/gold is a colour of abundance and joy and happiness and plenty and also friendship and harmony and affection.



NB. If you don't have orange or gold candles you could use white ones.
