I wrote this about two years ago...though I have improved a lot since then this is one of my favourites and since this is a pagan/wiccan board I thought I'd keep to the theme for now and use a poem that has mention of my patron god Poseidon. most of my other stuff is either embarrasingly bad or very depressing (*shrugs* what can I say? when it comes to writing I don't do happy endings lol) so here it is....
<div align="center">Sirens Call
A piercing cry across the sea,
Calling to forgotten shores.
Haunting calls, ocean deep,
Poseidonís siren sings.
Transform into a creature,
Graceful and demure.
A dolphin sings among the waves,
The sirenís call continues.
She is sent by the god
Who rules the seven seas,
To help or hinder sailors
As they search for adventure.
Storm is brewing.
As her song becomes a cry.
Calling out in sweet pain with her haunting song,
To those who dare to enter her waters.
Death will come on swift wings,
To those who deny her melody.
Unknown to sailors on the ocean,
Sea green eyes look on.
