Ok, so I know after his last dr.'s appt. we said we were going to wait to start solids until he was 6 months old. But DF thought he showed a lot of signs of being ready to start solids and he really wanted to see how he would handle it. I thought about it and tried to do some last minute research online before completely making my decision though. (DF really wanted to try it today) So we tried it and he really liked it! DF and I took turns feeding him. He wasn't really sure what to do with it at first and made some faces. LOL I also watched him to see if he was getting the hang of swallowing..he eventually got it. I read that the mouth and tongue develop in sync with the digestive system and he seemed to move most of the food to the back of his mouth..although at times he did push some of it out of his mouth with his tongue. Anyway, all in all he liked it and I guess we're planning on continuing the cereal until he's 6 months when we will start baby food. Here's some pics! Hope you enjoy them!!

Also - I know thats a lot of cereal in the bowl but DF made it and he made a little too much. LOL But don't worry, he didn't eat anywhere near that amount.

Before we started:

He wasn't so sure about this:

Then he was all smiles...:

..sometimes:

Yum Yum!

DF had to hold his hands down because he wanted both the cereal and his hands in his mouth at the same time:

Throwing a fit because Daddy held his hands down:

It's ok Daddy - I still love you:

After the feeding session...and all cleaned up:

And just some shots for your entertainment!

His new walker he got the other day! He can't reach the floor yet though LOL

When we last took him to the dr., he LOVED the paper on the table and enjoyed it while on his tummy. So we put some parchment paper down for him to entertain him during tummy time at home:

Daddy's scruffy face was a new feeling for him:

He kept rubbing his hands all over his chin LOL

Just having fun on the floor:

Love the pics. The first rice cereal feeding is always so messy. It took Cayden over 2 months to where the food is not everywhere. He is so cute!

Thanks for asking! His head is doing a lot better. We still lay him down on his sides at night and rotate each night..but in the middle of the night he still manages to roll onto his back. LOL But I think it's getting better now because he's not always laying everywhere like he was before he had good neck control. You know, he was either laying in someone's arms, in his bouncer, swing, carseat, etc. I think it was all that constant pressure on the back of his head that was doing it. Now that he likes to sit up more, his head is rounding out a bit. It's still got a bit of a flat spot on the very top in the back but it's really not bad and I'm sure it will correct itself eventually. His pedi isn't worried about it right now.
