How many weeks prior to the party will you send out invites? I want to give people plenty of notice, but not so much notice they forget about it. :-)

I was thinking right after Christmas. Dont want it to get lost or pushed to the side in all the Christmas stuff.

Yeah right after Christmas will be good. I actually had this conversation about wedding invitations getting lost right after Christmas so I will hold strong on the birthday invites as well. For the earlier babies inviting school buddies I would say a week before christmas if any of the daycares shut down over christmas. I know I would rather shop for little ones on boxing day sales than afterwards, especially if I didn't really know the kid

A month prior is usually good notice plus not too early that it's forgotten. But with Christmas in there it kinda messes it up a bit. If your party is late enough in the month (like middle of the month on), then I would wait and mail it after Christmas. If your party is earlier than that, then I would send them now and try to get them seen before too much Christmas craziness sets in.

Our party is on Jan 24 and I'll be sending mine out right after the holidays.

our party is going to be on Sarah's b-day (dec 27) and i still haven't sent out the invites. i am going to do it this week. i think 2 weeks notice is plenty.

We'll probably send our's out soon. We live far enough away from enough of the people we are inviting I want to be sure they have enough time to plan and be able to come or not. It'll probably be a month or so notice.

Sebastian's party is this Saturday the 6th and I mailed his invites out on 11/10.

2 weeks notice is usually sufficient. More for anyone traveling.
