Give us a quick update about you and your baby (I guess they are officially "Little One's" now ) or what is going on in your life.

We are doing good, stable - which is all we can hope for in this economy.
DH and I have our normal ups and downs but we are solid. I need to find some ways to KICK START my libido beyond candles and a massage - I mean on more of a self confidence level. I think some new clothes and a update to our bedroom would really help that.

Madison is amazing. I love her so much and I'm so glad now that I had a little girl. Her hair is growing CRAZY FAST and I don't think I'll cut it any time soon (ever!) She's a great kid, we are doing an awesome job and she truly brings out the best in me when we are together. I'd do anything for her.

Later on this month we are invited to a Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party!!! Kim's son is turning 2 and I'm going to get him this for his birthday. I wanted to get one for Maddie but i figure one at daycare is close enough rather than buying two (which I still may do, we'll see if I get enough good coupons for it).

I really miss my family and we are trying to put together a week long trip in August so we can do the tradeshow + a week with the family like we did last year. I'd like to get there before summer break ends and my brothers go back to college.

I still need to do Maddies bloodwork from her 12 month appt. I'm such a slacker, but it's hard to get an appt on the weekends to do it. My next day off isn't until June 26th and that's the last thing I want to do on a "maddie and mommy" day.

What's up with you guys?

Great post! I haven't been around much so it's nice to check in here and hear about everyone.

Walter is great, learning new words every day and starting to put 3 words together to form mini sentences. He's going to a playgroup at the local school for the deaf once a week, I love it. One if his teachers is deaf, and one of the kids has Downs Syndrome. I love exposing him to differences, and I love how unconditionally accepting toddlers this age are. He also goes to a playgroup at the library each week run by the Early Intervention program which emphasizes sign language and verbal skills. He loves it so much!

We've been to the beach lots the last few warm days we had. He loves splashing in the puddles and collecting rocks. He also loves going to the wharf to watch the boats. He loves to be outdoors and go to playgrounds, but instead of playing with the equipment he'd rather go explore and see bugs, sticks, and rocks. His current favorite things are trains, helicopters, cars and animals.

I love him to death, so much it hurts sometimes. I can't imagine life without him.

Awww... you guys! This is awesome.

Kensley is my angel sent from heaven. I look at her and can't imagine how in the world we were blessed by such a surprise gift. I swear so many of our angels up there knew we needed her and she needed us. It is amazing.

She seems to learn new things, new words, new physical capabilities every day. We go to MOPS every 2 weeks (mothers of pre schoolers, all over US) and there, she's learning to play and interact with others while I'm away with other ladies. It's great for her AND me! I'm so proud of her, she's such a trooper and she brightens my every day.

Let's see... we are just now getting good weather for outdoor play, so we go out a lot. She likes mud (good, cuz we don't have anything else but rocks)! Hummingbirds are fluttering around, and she's infatuated with these tiny, noisy little "jets" of the air.

DH and I are fantastic. He's constructing our storage room with major closets and great shelves so my stuff can be hidden and we can actually organize things! It may also be used as a 2nd mini-guest room, I am so stoked. This is my Mother's Day gift.

Business sucks. But we're good and my faculty position pays all the bills without issue. DH's a teacher and so far, his job is secure. If the student numbers go down, they MAY look into decreasing teaching positions, but I think a number of teachers are leaving within the next couple years, so he should be OK.

It's a GREAT day!

Liam is amazing! He's into everything and loves to find new things and check them out. I'm about to officially start moving him into 24 month clothes which is totally scary! When did he get so old?

John and I are great. My job sucks, but hopefully he'll have a new one soon. Tomorrow is his big test to graduate from the truck driving school he's been attending. Throughout the class he's been #1 and the school is the top rated in the area. Hopefully a new job for him isn't too far away.

Things here are going pretty well, no major complaints!

Aidan is fantastic and I wonder almost daily how it was that I got so lucky to have such a wonderful son. He's such a great combination of rough & tumble and huggy & lovey - just perfect. He continues to excel at daycare - I am so pleased with the care he gets there. We have continued with weekly swim lessons and also have him enrolled in a weekend playgroup. It's important to me to get him and and around others as much as possible. He loves to be outside and with the warm weather here (almost) we're out a lot. Our next big goal is bottle weaning. I started a month ago by taking away a daytime bottle and then he started waking hungry. He seems to be past that again (knock on wood), so I think it's time to drop the 2nd daytime bottle which will get us down to evening and bedtime only. By 18 months I want those gone as well. I really am starting to see that it's becoming habit more than need.

Work is okay, busy and frustrating but okay. Working from home is so great and has lowered my stress level considerably. Not having to spend 1 1/2 - 2 hours a day commuting makes a huge difference.

The new house is coming along. We are set to have final architectural diagrams by the end of the month, then permits and then landing breaking (hopefully sometime in July). We are still targetting an end of year move. It's very stressful and it can definitely bring out some of the worst in DH and I at times and it's going to be a brutal year for sure, but we both know that it will be well worth it when it's all said and done.

We are great!

Kayla is learning new things everyday. Her latest interest is splashing in water (in the sink, puddle outside, where ever she can find it). We went to our company picnic last Friday and it was raining and miserable for the adults but Kayla had a blast playing in the water and mud. She determined the mud was indeed edible.

DH is working a lot as usual but he's managing to be home on time more often so I'm happy about that.

I've submitted my paperwork to incorporate my business, working on the website and getting vendors lined up. I hope to have the online store open by the end of May. The selection will be a lot more limited than I had originally planned but hopefully it will do well enough and I can expand quickly.

Aiden is doing wonderful and he is such a joy to be around, most of the time. We kept him home last week because grandma was in town. I wasn't sure how he would do at daycare yesterday but he did wonderful. He has been spoiled for that week. Daycare does not give him a bottle during the day but we still give one at night. I would like to get rid of it by time this baby is born. I also have a problem with giving in with the bottle when he is grumpy.

Pregnancy is going great... I'm already tired of pregnancy and ready to have this baby. We still don't have a baby name. Ryan calls him No Name... After my next appontment I start going every 2 weeks. I can't believe time if flying by.

Well, within the next 6 months I will have tons of crap going on. Of couse having my baby... I'm retesting my ASVAB (military test to change career field), attending a wedding in Sept, leaving active duty and going reserve in TX, a moving to TX with 2 babies and 3 cats... Need to find a job... Husband is also getting out of the military and going reserve in Oct.

It's so good to hear how everyone is doing. Sounds like overall things are going well.

Things are going great here. I'm ready for some warm weather though. I need to break out our new baby pool.
DH and I are really good. We've designated Sunday nights as our nights. It's just a time for us to reconnect after the week. After Eva goes to bed, we usually go to bed early and spend time just talking and well, y'know. We are also really trying to do more things to connect with people around us and the people we love. We are "sponsering" a refugee family and helping them learn english and learn about where they live now. It's been challengine but good.
Eva is wonderful. I love seeing her learn new things every day. Every little thing is amazing to her and it's great to be able to see the world from a toddlers point of view. She is really trying to say any word we tell her even though some of them sound nothing like the real word. She is the love of our lives and we can't imagine life without her. I can't wait until it's nicer outside and we can go play outside (it's been rainy and cold a lot lately) and go swimming, etc. I am looking forward for our week on the Oregon beach this summer. We are going with all of my family (my parents, my sisters and their families) and it should be great fun.
I think we are going to start potty training soon as Eva now for 2 days in a row has come up to me and signed "potty, please" and then pooped a minute later. I am kind of dreading it but know it will be easier to start now than after the other baby arrives.
The pregnancy is going well. I still don't feel pregnant at all since I have had zero symptoms besides missing AF so I am looking forward to hearing the heartbeat in a few weeks.

Cadie is officially a terror. She is into EVERYTHING and her favorite things also seem to be the most dangerous. She fell off one of the kitchen chairs yesterday morning, standing on it. Trying to get onto the table, but I moved it so she couldn't.

She is walking now much more, but still mostly crawling. The walking has really exploded since the end of last week. She can now get from one spot to another without falling, so that is pretty huge.

She is starting to do stuff like pull the cat's tail and trying to crawl all over the dogs, so we are keeping a close eye on her in that aspect. Luckily they are all really good with her, but they don't like being messed with like that, and I want to stress respect for animals, so I won't let her do it.

She is learning lots of words and keeps surprising us with them. I think she is starting to let me know what her potty situation is, when she has to go or needs a change. I might be reading too much into it, I can't tell.

I bring her to gymboree now and she likes it a lot. She is still sort of shy there though, pretty quiet and does a lot of observing.

John and I are doing really well. Gearing up to start TTC in a month or two. It scares me to hear it put that way! I am working hard to get rid of my "mommy tummy" that is hanging on no matter how much I work out. I really want to get rid of that before I get pregnant again, but we will see. I changed up my workout routine and that seems to be helping.

Looks like I will have a busy summer with plenty of stuff to do, so that will be nice.

My only real complaint right now is I never get to be online, can only manage a shower every 2 or 3 days and I wish I had more ability to read and do my doula work. I am almost finished my paper on my birth, which will end a major section of the work. That will be nice. I have a great girl from across the street (not the same girl I had this summer) come and play with Cadie once or twice a week after school so I can get a few things done around the house. That is a big help. I can barely cook or get anything done when I am here alone, Cadie is getting pretty demanding. Or if I can get something done, while I am doing that Cadie makes a big mess so really I just exchanged one thing for another, now I have another mess to clean up. *sigh*

I miss you girls.

Kylie is VERY active these days. Into all the cabinets, standing and getting on chairs, trying to get on the kitchen counters. Turning on the tv, going after the dog... the list goes on. She loves to dance now too, which is so sweet. She twirls around.

Not saying too many words but when I ask her what things are, she points to them and knows a lot of words.

We went to a new eye doctor and he thinks her eyes are aligned so now we are going back to physical therapy for the head tilt. Hope that works. It isn't super noticeable, but I don't want her to have problems later on. She is clumsy too and wondering if that is a part.

DH and I are doing ok. We were at a wedding this weekend. He was the best man. His best man is extremely romantic so it seemed to rub off a little on mine. We rented a hotel room for the night and felt we were on a mini vacation.

Work is ok, although I just got done with a dreadful client.

Starting to get hot here so swimming will start soon. Going to Flagstaff for Fourth of July with my brother and his five kiddos and grandma. Also going to MN in August and Kansas in July.

No TTC right now, but not preventing either. The thought of doing all of this again scares the crap out of me.

It for now.

We're doing well! Although we owe the government over $5k in overpaid benefits and taxes, we're on a payment plan and the debt will be gone by the end of the year, possibly even sooner. It sucks I can't put that money towards other debt, but we both have good stable jobs, our bills are paid, so in this economy I think that's plenty to be grateful for. I hate that we still have credit card debt kicking around, but it's slowly going down. Overall we're in less debt than we were a year ago so that's encouraging.

Mackenzie is BUSY she's trying to climb on everything now, very talkative, loves to be outside. Just cut two molars so she's been a little miserable, but overall she's such a happy kid, everyone comments on it. She just never stops smiling her ability to pick up signs and start using them always amazes me, since we only sign casually to her. She really watches when DH signs, and learns it the best from him.

I think we're starting to ttc this month.... but I'm sure we'll take a casual approach since active ttc never worked for us before, it wasn't until I really didn't think I'd get preggo and didn't worry about it that I got preggo with Kenz! I wouldn't mind it being a few months before I'm preggo but by the end of the year would be good. I'll be happy whenever I get that bfp though and that's the important thing

work is good, busy! I'm happy with my performance the last couple months (I felt like I was kinda dragging over the winter) and I feel like I've handled some tough situations well, so I'm pleased with myself

Things are going well here. We just had Joshua's 15 month check up and he is 34.5" and 28.7 lbs!

Joshua is running around finding new things to get into every day. He loves to try to stand on his toys, hug the dog while running along side him, and play with his favorite toys--tractors. He is almost uncontrollable at restaurants, so we eat at home a lot more than we use to. His new thing is giving hugs, and he has to hug everyone in the room once he starts. When he gets sleepy he starts laying down on the floor or the couch and when I say "ready to go night night in your bed?" he takes off running for his bed and wants up in his crib. He makes me smile

DH and I are ok I guess. DH just found out today he is moving from 2nd to 1st shift which is great because he will have nights and weekends off with us. As it is right now, Joshua and I spend several nights a week with my parents so I can get to work on time and have some help with him in the mornings. Now with DH' schedule changing we will be able to spend time together as a family rather than a separated couple. At the same time, I'm not looking forward to that because 1) my mom is more helpful with Joshua than DH is! and 2) We've grown apart and I feel bad for that. Time will help.

I'm working more hours at work which is nice $$$ wise. My birthday is Saturday and my dad's birthday is tomorrow and with mother's day this weekend we'll have a pretty festive week!

things are going well here! Sarah just cut her 2nd molar, which makes a total of 10 teeth. i have to say, she was the clingiest - high needs baby and is now becoming an independent toddler. seriously....i used to not even be able to leave the room for even one second without her freaking out. she is now so good at entertaining herself, i can actually get things done around the house and i can cook with both hands! it has been rainy here lately, but when it's not raining we go to the playground everyday. sometimes twice a day. every morning she wakes up, points out the window and says "side, SIDE!!!" (outside) Sarah is so brave and will go down any slide all by herself...if its hard to climb up to the slide i will help her up, then she'll wait at the top while i go down to the bottom to catch her.

she is very much obsessed with music and is very picky about what music is being played. i'll flip through the radio stations while we are driving somewhere and if she doesn't like a song she'll say "no no no no no no no!!!!!" and shake her head like crazy. then she starts going "DEEEE!DEEEE!!!" (Deee referring to Deee-Lite) and does the sign for music. this is her favorite song.

she is learning new words everyday, and getting better at articulating. "mama" has become "ma - mai" (almost mommy!!) she can also recognize her name when it's written. if we are coloring and i write her name on a piece if paper she says "Seh!!" (that's how she says her name, )

she is still taking her iron supplement for her anemia and i'll be taking her to get a 3rd blood test done next week. she is so good when it comes to taking the supplement though, and that stuff tastes sooooo bad!! she lays down on the floor and says "AHHHH" and opens her mouth up so big so i can drop the spoonful of nasty orange liquid in her mouth.

Dh and i are doing alright. his 2nd job is hit or miss these days, one week he'll work there everyday, and then go a week without working. (handyman stuff) it sucks, but so does the economy right now. he is still working at UPS (thank god because they laid off a bunch of people) and he is up for a promotion in July! w00t! we are hoping that once July rolls around they can transfer him...it is so ridiculously expensive to live around here. my dad is very hard to live with, he is up both of our butts about every little thing and he still NEVER spends anytime with Sarah. so yeah, we really can't wait to get the hell out of here. and he is a complete douche....i am not over exaggerating here people...he makes my skin crawl.

we hope to TTC before the end of the year. we really cannot have another baby while we are living here though, there is simply not enough room here, and i don't want to be pregnant and living in the same house as my dad.

SORRY FOR WRITING A NOVEL!

We are doing fabulous here. Adalynn is a joy and an outside girl through and through. We spend time taking her to the park, going for walks, swinging and playing in her playhouse in our backyard.

Adalynn is also a huge eater even though she is somewhat of a shrimp. (22lbs and 30in long) Hr favorite food appears to be pancakes at this point. She will eat 2 pancakes and a banana at one sitting. She is still on soy milk and at this point I hate to switch since she drinks so much of it without us having to attempt to force her to drink it.

DH and I are doing fantastic. We just got back from a weekend camping/bike riding getaway with another couple. Sometimes it's hard for us to find us time since he works 2 jobs and is going to school for his master's. We look to start TTC in a few months.

My job is the busiest it's ever been. Kinda crazy since I work as a mortgage processor. The extra money has been so great and I will be making the final payment to my car this month....then it's on to working on DH's I am so ready to be debt free outside of our house.

we're doing good here as well! Casey is big - still not saying much but she's been sleeping much better at night. she went 3 days without waking up at night. She's still crawling all over everything and loves going outside.

As for me I'm just working and trying to decide what to do when my separation from the military comes up. I think i'm going to put in for a new assignment overseas and see what that gets us. i'm still on the fence whether i'm going to stay in or get out or do reserves...ugh!

Dh and I definitely have our ups and downs but things are going much better. We're working on getting our house together and putting it on the markey. We have a goal of June 1st. I just recently signed up for weight watchers. Had my first meeting officially and I'm excited.

I look forward to getting healthy, new clothes, etc. I'm going in Thursday to the spa! Yay!

Frederick is doing great! He's going in next week for another haircut. He's going to start going to a playgroup every Friday! And for gymborree. I can't wait!

We went shopping over the weekend and got Little Man 2 pairs of shoes! I'm so excited! I still want him to have some toys since I just got rid of his tables, ball-popper hippo, etc. Dh is of the mind-set Frederick has enough but really he hardly has any..

A shape sorter, one little tykes table, build-a-bear, tad the tad pole frog with bed, a couple blocks, some tonka cars, and that's it.

Things are great here. Dax is so sweet and smart. I still cant believe he's here after all those yrs of trying for him. He's just amazing. He is repeating everything I say. Right now his big thing is animals (Dinosaurs say rooooaaar and bite me on the nose!) He's still a chunky butt and some of the summer clothes I bought in 24 mo. are kinda tight.
As for me, I'm also dealing with a 10 yr old that thinks he's a teenager. Now that I finished school for the summer I'm going to have to spend a lot of alone time with him to try to fix this attitude problem. Speaking of school, I finished psych nursing yesterday with a 94 on the final. I was proud! 1 more semester to go!

eta: this double posting thing is getting old!
Great job on your 94!

THis is an awesome topic! I love reading about everyone!

We are doing great. Meg is growing like a weed! I do have a complete tomboy on my hands. When we go outside she prefers to go play in the dirt or walk around with the puppies. I have some awesome pictures of her playing with her workbench and tools... in a pink polka dot dress. Too funny!
She is not talking too much, but points to almost everything you say and knows what it means. She answers yes or no to questions and is very bright.

Her ear infections are a thing of the past!!! She has 16 teeth and will be seeing the dentist for the first time in June. We are just waiting on her 2nd year molars now.. and on the bottom right there is a white spot.. so I think they are coming.

Health wise, she is fabulous. Her immune system is finally bullet proof and recovered from her constant illnesses and ear problems months ago.

She is no longer crawling at all. She is running and climbing and keeping me very busy!

I have enrolled her at Upward Bound Montessori school here and she begins the week after her 18 month birthday! I am very excited. It is the most charming school I ever toured.

DH and I start TTC'ing this month! I cannot wait to give Meghan a forever friend and playmate!

DH has been very focused on working and paying off debt. He wants to make it possible for me to stay home with the kiddos once baby #2 is here. At least for a short time. I would like 18 months, so that they can both go to Meg's school together when the new baby is 18 months old.

Work is crazy. After they got rid of two people, I am the only project manager here anymore, and doing the work of 3 or more. It is ridiculous. I am actually in the process of writing a letter requesting a raise. I plan to turn it in next week and request a meeting for the next week to discuss it. God save me! I hope it goes well.

For now, I am a very happy woman with a great husband and a fabulous child. I couldn't ask for anything more.
