YES! I have a stutterer. He has stuttered for the past year. But not all the time. He goes through phases where he stutters a lot for about 3 days, and then his vocabulary EXPLODES. Then nothing for a month or so. It's always correlated with verbal and cognitive growth. If not new words, than new ways of expressing emotions or advanced thought process. It's actually really neat, it's so predictable. He stuttered more often when he was just learning how to talk too, he was so advanced verbally but his mouth couldn't keep up. I did a lot of research on it and found that it's normal, especially for verbally advanced kids (although it seems like the opposite). If you notice it all the time for a few weeks, you might want to ask your doctor. The best thing you can do is just ignore it, and don't speak for her when she does it. Let her get through it on her own.
