What is something you hope you can say that about someday soon?
What is something you are shocked you can say that about?

This doesn't directly answer your question but when I first saw the doctor after getting pregnant with Oliver he wanted to know date of last period. I told him and he asked how sure I was. I whipped out my phone and said there's an app for that you know. He laughed. The cycle charting app worked out for me.

I wish I could scan my coupons as I clip them and have an app tell me the cheapest place to buy items (importing sales information and store coupons as well) in one store visit compared to my grocery list, based on distance.
I think google goggles is pretty cool, I also like the Google Sky app.

I wish there was one for JM and a few other shopping sites. The online stores don't recognize my iPad as a computer and switch to a mobile version of the site which is hard to navigate.
I have an app on my iPad to measure kids feet for shoe size. So convenient

I can say with complete confidence that I have never, ever said this.
I must be the only person on the planet who doesn't have internet on their phone. It just costs extra and I'm cheap.

Not the only one... My husband and I don't either. He had it once and got rid of it because of cost. he is now thinking about getting it back.

Nope, I don't either. We're definitely in the minority.
For me it's not the cost so much, it's just I cannot think of any possible situation where I would need immediate use of the internet. I have a cell phone for emergencies (literally, my last months statement had a total of 1min39secs of calls) and that I see a use for. I don't even have texting on my plan. Same reason, it's not a necessity and I don't even think it would be of entertainment value to me. If I need the internet, I can do that when I'm at home.

When DH's car broke down I used the internet to search the phone number for the nearby acura dealer to get the number for roadside assitance and connect with towing company. Then we looked up the best price on the battery for his car near our location and drove it to go pick it up and install it. Then I emailed and texted my work to let them know what was going on and where i'd be.
That's just one example.

^^ Just to play devil's advocate. Dialing directory assistance would've gotten you the same result. Except for maybe the price comparison on the battery, although that could've been done by phone too, just would've taken a long time. And work you could've called instead of emailed.

Yes but I hate talking on the actual phone LOL Directory assistance costs a fee here. I also was able to text and email DH when he didn't answer his phone.
I did fail to mention that Acura road side assistance used my phone GPS (with my permission) to triangulate where I was so they knew what was the nearest towing company before a person ever actually got on the phone.
I really do like having the GPS being new to this area. I also like the interactive games, checking my ebay listings, checking facebook, and using it as general time killer when I'm AFK

I have a seperate GPS, so ya I get that benefit.
I also think that working from home gives me a different perspective on the need for mobile internet. Other than the 20mins to and from daycare, I'm at home in front of my computer anyway. If I were back to an hour to hour and a half commute each way, my opinion would likely change.

I do have texting ability and use it a lot. We have a GPS (not on our phone).
I agree with Gillian there are other ways to do it. We have to pay for Directory assistance but we don't use it very often so we don't care if we have to play a few bucks for it. Also there are a thing called phone books that I bet we can find while out if we really needed it.
Or we find a place on our GPS too.
I'm on my computer a lot at home so having internet on my phone would be pointless.

I have internet on my phone but it's sooooo painfully slow that it's not worth using. We did use it on our MI trip in October to find a pizza place that we couldn't find on our GPS (it needs to be updated).
I do have an email/chat app I downloaded, but it's also horrible. So I only use it when I'm painfully painfully bored. That said, my phone isn't exactly a smartphone. It's just a Motorola cheapie (more or less) but it does the trick. I do text my sister quite a bit so that's nice to have.

I can't really think of something that hasn't been done - i love that coupon idea though. I'm horrible with organizing those.
The first shocking app i remember was the one that acts as a remote for our blu-ray player. I wasn't necessary but it sure was neat
I"m with Cyndee - i like doing things efficiently and quickly so having my phone is nice. Why call around all day when I can get things done in a fraction of the time. On one device i have a planner, GPS, computer, etc etc.

I could really use something like GPS in my car. I've lived in (and driven in) this city my entire life but when they closed down my freeway exit last week I spent half an hour on the phone with DH trying to find my way home from the exit I was forced to take. (Incidentally this exit was straight into the hood. I had to make a u-turn at the "Babes of Babylon" parking lot.)
I've been getting lost since I was first given a driver's license countless times since I have the worst sense of direction known to man. Modern technology like GPS would behoove me to invest in.
