So this temp position that I've been waiting want to do a phone interview. I'm excited but a little nervous since I just quit my job.

My question is if they ask about my current job because when i submitted my resume I was still working there so it says Present still. Should i just act like I work there still or tell them the truth that I did resign from the position on Saturday. Don't tell them if they don't ask? Most interview want to know about my previous experience. I know they will use the term current position. Should I correct them... I don't know...

I'm of the "If they don't ask, don't volunteer" mindset when it comes to that kind of thing. If they say "current" don't correct them just say "most recently" in your reply.

At least that's what I would do. Anyone can feel free to say I'm wrong. I haven't had a successful interview in nearly 10 years...

I usually say honesty is the best policy. I wouldn't lead with it, but if they ask if you are still currently employed, then I would be honest and say you just resigned and give them the reasons why. There's nothing wrong with leaving a position that isn't right for you and whose schedule doesn't work with your family, etc...

I'd be honest as well. I don't think it would be a big deal to leave a job that wasn't a good fit
