Google your area/town/whatever and share a few pics of where you live. I love seeing other parts of the country.

I live right between two towns. One is picturesque Americana...
The other is more modern and sprawling, but still pretty small. There's a couple of big box stores, a few chain restaurants and lots of strip malls. It's a gorgeous area though.
But here's what I really love...

This is the lake a block from my house and the view of Mt. Rainier. Not too shabby!
Here's another good shot...

Beautiful pics, Shannon!
Trudy, I LOL'd at the restaurant description and the "downtown" North Gower.
I'll have to search for pics later. I'm in the middle of farm country, dairy and corn mostly, so not a ton to see...

I live on the Mississippi River right on the border of Iowa and Illinois. It's the only place where the river flows east to west instead of north to south.
Our area is really more like 4-5 cities smashed together in Illinois and Iowa. My city is pretty big but we aren't known for much of anything.
This is our QC River Bandits A-league baseball team with the Centennial Bridge in the background and a steamboat!
We're also known for being a HUGE! rally point for presidential candidates because Iowa holds the first caucus every election year. Candidates come through here constantly.

the town we live in is pretty small and crappy looking Some of the buildings are slowly getting facelifts, but the only pics I'm finding are old.
So, here is the city we live outside of, where I work, shop, etc:

Shannon, I miss looking across the water and seeing Mt. Rainer. I grew up in Bremerton/Port Orchard.
We live about an hour west of St. Louis.
Our downtown area:
Westminster College, home of the Winston Churchill memorial:
A piece of the Berlin wall at Westminster:
The covered bridge at a local park:
DH's work, about 10 miles east of our town:

here's the levee at the ohio river downtown
the riverboat casino
bosse field where "a league of their own" was filmed
it's hard finding good pictures...Evansville is pretty big, and google really only has pictures of downtown, which is pretty small, and a ghost town for the most part. the rest of the city is a mix of everything. rural, suburban, with a lil ghetto thrown in there.
