Do you have a (non-family) babysitter yet?
Do you ever get to go out?
I have our DCP, a backup daycare provider in my neighbor who is watching Maddie today, and her old teacher from daycare as an hourly babysitter.
I trust all of them more than family

Normally it is just my brother who watches when we need it. We have a few friends that I could trust to watch them and the boys already know them but we never really had to ask them yet.

We go out to dinner maybe once every 2 months or so, we don't usually stay out very late. I exchange with my DCP, I watch her son and she'll watch Maddie once in awhile and we use the hourly girl every other time we go out pretty much.

We don't stay out late either. My brother is a free babysitter and our friends would be too. I do get my brother a nice Christmas gift just to Thank him for the help.
We are going out tonight and my brother is watching the boys. I think we try to go out once a month without the boys.

Other than work overlaps, we've only ever had a sitter once and it was my 18 year old niece. I have a couple of friends who are willing to watch the boys if needed if our schedules overlap at work. We're homebodies and are pretty content to just hang at home most of the time.

Do you have a (non-family) babysitter yet? my niece's really good friend just moved less than a mile from us and she will babysit anytime we ask and the kids adore her but we haven't taken her up on the offer yet, other than that just my parents and inlaws
Do you ever get to go out?occasionally we go out when my parents are here to watch the kids, we usually don't go until after the kids go to sleep. other than that we either bring the kids or have people here if we want to socialize. With working all week by the weekend we usually are too tired to go out anyway haha

Just family here. As a result, we don't go out very often.

Do you have a (non-family) babysitter yet? No. But I have grown to trust one of the interns at work, and she is going to babysit Meghan in a few weeks so DH and I can go out for his birthday.
Do you ever get to go out? No. We only trust like 2 people in this world with Meg.. 1 lives 4 hours away, the other is in Illinois. We did get to go out one night when we were up there a few weeks ago. But otherwise, it has been years. (almost 3 to be exact)

Ditto to this. We have friends that we totally trust to watch the kids but they live on the other side of town so it just doesn't work.

I've never left them with a baby sitter. Once we went to dh Christmas work party and my parents came over to watch Lilly. When Oliver was born Lilly went to my parents house. That's about it for us besides daycare during school hours.

We don't go out very often without the kids and if we do it's when they have spent the night with my sister. We have hired a babysitter exactly twice since Addy was born.
I have a close friend that has filled in twice for my daytime sitter when she has been ill.

We don't have a babysitter family or otherwise so our outings are only as a family or individually with a friend. We've had friends offer to babysit for us and I'd have no issue leaving him with them, but they live pretty far and we juts haven't been able to figure it out logistically.

No and no. We have talked to a few hs girls about watching the girls but our schedules are both so weird we rarely have time off together as it is. We're talking about getting someone to watch the girls soon though. Usually we just wait until family is in town or we're visiting them and get out when we can.

We have not hired a babysitter yet. We rely entirely on family. I go between my mom, MIL, grandmother, 2 sisters, and if no one else can my step dad. Considering we need someone every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday we usually never get to go out. I alternate between everyone so I won't wear anyone out.
So no we will not be doing gifts or going out to dinner.

We have used non family members before. One of DH's employees was watching Lily for a few weeks after preschool before we out her in daycare. That girl also has watched Abri a few times. We've also used teenage sisters a few times. The older one is in college so she's only home during breaks. The younger one is 16 so we can only use her for the weekend or summer. All of the sitters we've used are great and the girls love them.
We go out on occasion. Usually it's some sort of work related thing for DH and rarely a date.

We usually take him everywhere we go but when we do go out somewhere without him (like the movies) my mom and stepfather watches him. Sometimes they will take him overnight to spend time with him and then we do stuff we can't do with him at that time.
