Is your LO going to be attending PreK or Kindergarten this fall? Public or Private School?

Full or Half day and how many days a week?

How will they be transported?

What does it cost you?

Will there be additional child care or after care? If so what's the additional cost?

Will they be packing lunch/snacks or does the school provide or offer them?

Is your LO going to be attending PreK or Kindergarten this fall? Public or Private School? Yes, JK. Half his time will be in FI at his public school and the other half of the time will be the JK program at his current private daycare/school. Our school has not transitioned to full day kindergarten yet (like most of the Ontario schools), so I'm having to split him between the 2.

Full or Half day and how many days a week? Full time 5 days a week

How will they be transported? Public School will be by school bus and the private will be by us.

What does it cost you? No cost for Public, private will be about $200 every two weeks.

Will there be additional child care or after care? If so what's the additional cost? No

Will they be packing lunch/snacks or does the school provide or offer them? Public school - packed lunches and snacks, private school they provide hot lunch and snacks.

Kaija will be continuing at the preschool she is currently at. It's $100 for the school year because it is part of the vocational ed. program at the high school. It's 3 days/wk for 2.5 hours and we drive her.

Will there be additional child care or after care? If so what's the additional cost?
Yes, not sure of the additional cost.
Will they be packing lunch/snacks or does the school provide or offer them? She has the option to do either. I will probably pack lunch a couple days a week and do hot lunch a couple days a week.

Jacq, how did you find something so awesome for so little $??! Sounds sweet! Love that the kids get to help!

This is a topic I'm not too happy with right now since C didn't get into T's school...

Is your LO going to be attending PreK or Kindergarten this fall? Public or Private School?
Pre-K, at a public school.

Full or Half day and how many days a week?
Full day (8:35 am-2:35 pm) 5 days a week.

How will they be transported?
I'll drive him, pre-k kids aren't allowed on the school buses here.

What does it cost you?
Nothing. Free for here, or same if he had gotten into Thomas's. Our other option was $195/mo for 3 days-2.5 hr days... So you can see why this was a better option.

Will there be additional child care or after care? If so what's the additional cost?
Nope.

Will they be packing lunch/snacks or does the school provide or offer them?
New Haven provides free lunch and breakfast for all students.

Nicole, it all just sort of fell into place. My friend wanted to homeschool her child, but in a montessori environment with a few other kids. She thought about doing it, asked around to see if any other moms and kids were interested, and within a month she had everything all set up. i feel very lucky to have this opportunity for Sarah.

Is your LO going to be attending PreK or Kindergarten this fall? Public or Private School? Not sure yet. We'd like to have Lily tested for early entry to kindergarten, which we can't do until next month. If we end up with that it would be public school. Otherwise she'll continue with Pre-k that she's already in at daycare

Full or Half day and how many days a week?
Full days, five days a week

How will they be transported?
If she does kindergarten, she could take a bus. If still in Pre-k then I'd drive her

What does it cost you?
Free for public kindergarten. We pay $1200/month for both girls at daycare full time, but will have a discounted rate when I go back to part time hours 7 months of the year.

Will there be additional child care or after care? If so what's the additional cost? If we do kindergarten then yes we would need after care for the 4 months that I work full time.

[B]Will they be packing lunch/snacks or does the school provide or offer them?[/] We would have to pack lunch for kindergarten, but daycare includes lunch and snack
