I once calculated that my morning bowl of oatmeal, bought it bulk at Costco, costs me 11.5 cents per serving. That's not including the cost of the energy to cook it, but close enough. It's also hard to beat in the health department.

Can anyone think of anything else that's so cheap and healthy at the same time?

Oatmeal is definitely ours, and we buy the store brand for $1/canister when on sale and stock up

Any grain and bean dish is really cheap. Especially if you buy them in bulk food sections. I make a great dish with carmelized onion, lentil and brown rice, yum!
