Since there are so many new babies and lots of new members on the board, I thought it would be fun to start a weekly thread every Sunday.
We can use it to give a quick update on us. Add any pictures throughout the week that you want to share or that you've taken during the week. We used to do this on another board I was on, and it was a great way to keep up with everyone's babies/bumps/what was going on in their lives.
What do you think? Any interest?

I think it's a fantastic idea! How far along we are, maybe a belly pic, anything we've bought during the week, etc. Easy way to keep up to date on everyone. I just do not have the time to follow journals!

I totally agree with not being able to keep up on journals!
Okay, I'll start. I'm 30 weeks along today. In some ways I can't believe I'm this far along, in other ways I don't know how I'm going to make it 8 more weeks! I've been having a lot more pain and pressure going on inside there. I actually went to L&D on the advice of my doctor on Thursday because I was in so much pain. Everything looked good with him though. They think the pain might be from adhesions that could have formed after my fibroid removal. But sometimes the pain comes when he moves. So who knows!
I still don't have too much of a bump. No one can believe that I am as far along as I am when I tell them. I'm getting more okay with it now.
We've been working on the nursery, and we're in the middle of stripping the wallpaper. The deadline for getting it done was supposed to be next Saturday because that's when my shower is, but I'm not sure it will be done by then. Oh well.
Here's a couple of pictures from yesterday at my nephew's birthday party.
With my 2 sisters:
Sitting during the party. I was bummed I couldn't do any of the fun stuff because I'm pregnant. It was at a place with tons of bouncy equipment that even the adults could go on.
And one with my dad:

6 w 6 d today, and feeling alright...definitely tired, as i have been from the start, and also struggling a bit the last few days with nausea. it's not super bad, just enough that i feel a little woozy if i don't eat, then feel a little woozy when i do. (haha - a no win scenario! basically my body is only happy when i'm asleep!!) boobs are just a tad less tender, which is nice, but are definitely bigger, so i'm anxiously awaiting some of the new clothes and bras i purchased online, because right now my blouses aren't very job appropriate - i'm busting out of them! (not good when those buttons have to hold on for dear life across your chest ) still managing to exercise nearly every day, but am feeling so worn down in general that it gets tougher every day to motivate myself. no use in posting a new pic, it's all just bloat since the one i posted in the bump thread already. that's about all!

We've been working hard to try and update some things around our house so that it can go back on the market (it was on last year from April-October). I have been painting our bedroom, while DH has been putting quarter round on the floors. I'm pooped!
Love this idea, Lauren!

This is a great idea!
I'm 12 weeks 5 days. Feeling better and getting my appetite back. We had a really busy weekend and were out of town until tonight. I'm the matron of honor and her shower and bachelorette party were yesterday. So I hear ya Lauren on the being pregnant and missing out! Other than that looking forward to having tomorrow off to relax and cookout!

I'm 25w 1d. Growing so quickly I don't know how my skin keeps up. I finally stopped contracting so much last night. I really was having a lot. We had brunch here today with my parents, sister and her family and 2 of my brothers. We celebrated my parent's 35th, my sister and her husband's 9th and DH and my 7th wedding anniversary. I didn't have to do too much work for it since it was a pot luck, but it was awesome to get off the couch and not be worried about constant contractions. I have to get DH to take some real pics of me. Most of the pics I have during my pregnancy are quick belly shots. The pics below are me 2 weeks ago and me this week to show how much my belly is growing. I've only put on about one pound during that time, but had put on 10 lbs in the four weeks before that. It's getting pretty uncomfortable to eat full meals, so I'm doing a lot of small grazing.

Good idea! Alice is growing in leaps and bounds, and is so darn precious. I find times that I cannot take my eyes off of her, and its amazing!
I posted the newest pictures of her already in a separate thread.
Lauren, you look so pretty! You glow!!!

Zane is 4 months old! OMG I can't believe it! Time flies tooo fast, faster when your LO is here. He's getting so big, rolling over, "talking", laughing and wanting to crawl. He's a chubby bubby too, over 17lbs!!!! And of course a pic of my lil cutie pie! I love this kid sooooo much!

I love all the pictures! Nathan is already 11 days old which is hard to believe. Time really does fly once your little one is here.
We are working on getting a routine down, and getting him some relief from the gas/reflux that he seems to have. Hopefully we will find a solution soon! I start going to classes with other new Mom's next Tuesday, so I'm really looking forward to that!

ooh ok. Well Ill be 30 weeks this week. I have a week off so I really need to make a list of things I need to get and start getting them, things like breast pads, nursing bras etc etc.
DF and I went down to the coast yesterday and it was actually warm enough that I got burnt! Doesnt happen often here in the UK. Silly me should have known better and put sunscreen on oops.
I can feel her moving lots more, i do often wonder what shes doing in there, shes was head down a week and a half ago, i dont expect shes staying like that...little monkey!
I made some letters out of card to put above her moses basket. Because we arent decorating a room for her and are hoping to move at the end of the year, i thought they would be good enough for now. When we go to Oz I really want to get some wooden ones and decorate them. anyways here it is...all hand cut even the swirly flowers, and took me FOREVER!

Connor is six weeks, one day already. So hard to believe!
I am back to work tomorrow, and I could cry just thinking about it. Connor will be in daycare Tuesdays and Thursdays, but will be with my MIL the rest of the work week.
I can't believe how much my little boy changes from day to day right now. It's amazing. Yesterday, we had him on his playmat, and he was just cooing and squealing away. It was the most adorable thing ever. He even laughs now and then too....but I'm still not 100% sure if the laughs and smiles are deliberate yet.
Breastfeeding has gotten a little rocky for me. As Connor gets bigger, he can put up more and more of a physical fight. It's like he wants to hold the breast himself, but when he gets his hands up there, he can't latch, which causes me pain and stress. And of course, little guy gets frustrated and screams his little head off. I'll admit, I've been pumping and we've been bottle feeding him more than I'd like. I still breastfeed him a good bit. It just kills me that sometimes, we just can't work it out, and I have to pump. I feel a bit like a failure.
The only other exciting thing going on in our lives is that we've paid off our first home! It's only a doublewide trailer - but hey, for two 26 year olds, that's pretty darn good. We've reassessed our finances, and will be putting this place up for sale sometime in the next year and starting the building process this time next year. (If we sell, we'll either move in with my parents temporarily or get an apartment) We even looked at a beautiful cape cod model home this weekend...it's so exciting to see everything you've worked for start to fall into place!
I don't have any new pics right now, but we're going to the ILs for Memorial Day. I'll try to snap some so you can see how big my little boy is getting!
P.S. - Great idea Lauren! I don't have time to update Connor's journal when I'm NOT working, let alone when I'm back to work!

This is a great idea! I had my whole post out, but JM screwed up on me and it's in cyber-heaven now.
Cherie is 19 days today. I can't believe it. I agree with the other girls, time flies by when your LO is here. She looks different every day as she's growing up and growing in to her face and body. I feel like she's huge already compare to when we brought her home, but I don't know how much she weighs or how long she is. Her newborn clothes seem to be just barely fitting her at this point, though.
I'm doing great. Lochia seems to have subsided and my tummy has shrunk a ton, just some extra skin now. I've started walking a ton to start getting my body back and get rid of the unnecessary weight I gained on top of the baby weight while I was pregnant. My goal is to be back in a bikini by the end of the summer.
Here's my princess on Saturday. I love the crazy hair. It gets like that for about a day after her bath because her hair gets all fluffy. I think it's hilarious!
