So ladies I am still in shock and cant really believe it yet. So this morning I POAS again and I compared the test to yesterday's and it looks just a tiny tiny bit lighter...so Im already freaking out! I dont want to be hurt/disappointed. I know the line is suppose to get darker!
Im already thinking that when I go for my beta its going to be neg. I hate thinking so negative but its just like the front I build. I dont know what to do or think. Should I make a big deal out of it.
Also...On Sunday and Monday I was cramping a lot and today nothing so far. Is that normal? Sorry for so many questions!!!

I got my BFP (very very faint) at 9dpo. I expected 10dpo or 11dpo to be darker and make me feel better (I have had 2 miscarriages), and they really weren't and I was worrying too. It really wasn't until 14dpo that it got much darker. I did have a beta done at 10dpo and 14dpo too, so that helped reassure me. So it can take a little while for it to get darker, try not to worry! And cramping is normal (even through the first trimester). I do understand your worries though, but try to pull out the excitement!

I only tested once. I didn't want to watch the line not change. I'm sure I would have been more tempted to keep testing, but I had a beta done the day I got my BFP and 2 more after that. Those helped reassure me.

I'm in the same boat Jessy! I don't know if I should keep testing because I am worried the line will turn lighter (had that experience before and don't want to repeat it). My Beta is also Friday and they won't let me come in until then It's driving me mad. I am hoping and praying that we both get great numbers on Friday!

Celry: I wasnt going to test today...but I was like I need to make sure yesterday was not a fluke. My DH already told all of our friends!! He is so excited that he is probably going to tell the whole world by today. I have only told my Mom I havent told anyone else like on my part. Ugh I hate waiting im so freaking impatient!!!

I tested every day until I ran out of tests (I had bought 30 FRERs on Ebay!) I think by that time I had about 10 left so for 10 straight days I tested. Some days the line looked darker and some days it didn't and I totally freaked. Finally DH made me throw them out because they were all lined up on the kitchen table and I would stare at them every time I walked by. I also noticed that the dryer they get the darker they look so todays might not be lighter but until the dye dries more this evening it might look a little lighter, kwim? Try to relax (I know, easier said than done!!!) and Friday will be here before you know it! Also go in REALLY early and have them order it stat so that you get the results that day and not have to wait the weekend.
As far as cramping...totally normal! And it is also totally normal for symptoms to come and go. I know it is scary but one day you might feel nothing at all and freak out and then the next day your symptoms will be back. Just know that it is normal!!

I didn't test again after the first few (used same urine sample) but I can tell you that the cramping is very normal. Honestly, I was expecting AF to show but I got a surprise BFP instead when I realized I was late.

I won't TELL how many tests I took after my first BFP. more than you can count on your fingers, just put it that way. I've shared this story before but I hope it helps you feel better. Right after leaving the doctors office after my 3rd beta blood draw, the level was 408! I STILL had the urge to POAS, so my DH took me to the dollar store and bought me A LOT of tests...(I won't say how many LOL) I hadn't peed in a few hours so immedietely when we got home I used one. (You can't pee on them, you have to use droplets) Anyway, the test is supposed to detect 20mlU. (Remember my levels were at 408 at the time) The line was obviously there, but not NEARLY as dark as I would have expected. I swear some of the previous tests were darker. Remember, even 2 tests in the same box can vary in the amts of dye. I know you're in shock, but try not to compare too* many tests or you'll drive yourself crazy! Congrats again!

I tested for at least a month or two after I got my BFP! And like April said, some were lighter, some were darker. I think it has a lot to do with what time you test, how much you have drank, etc. etc.

OMG ladies thanks so much! Im feeling a lot better now knowing your experiences. I know that cramping is normal for early preg. so when I didnt feel any cramps today i was like hmm where did they go LoL..I am tryingg to relax and enjoy. I made a siggy now too!!!
I was thinking of calling my OBgyn and seeing if they would do blood work today...LoL!!!
April...my doctors office has me in for an appt at 8am and all results are always done that same day at 3pm.
I went in last friday the 22nd for my progesterone test and it was 18..they said that was good and they like to see anything above 15 for a medicated cycle. So im hopeing they are sticky well in there!
Thanks again ladies!!

I took a lot of tests after, too. And the first one after my BFP was lighter than the first one. It freaked me out, too, but here I am with two weeks to go so I think it's safe to say this one stuck.

NO TESTING!! It will only make you paranoid.lol.
I cramps for the 1st few wks, which always had me worried, but then I worried when i didnt cramp also. Its a no win situation. Just 'try' relax. OK easier said than done as weve all been in that position!
And no worries about all the questions, keep em coming! Im sure we will be able to help in some way

I tested for about a week straight after getting my BFP - it drove my DH crazy - but it made me feel better to see the line get darker each morning.

my tests didn't start getting darker until 4-5 days after the initial BFP. for some women, it just takes awhile longer.

I just wanted to congratulate you!! I am so very very excited for you as I know that you have been on this extremely long journey. I lurk in on you (and Brandi) and just knew that you would be getting your BFP, I was confident for you, I remember your "This IVF Cycle is a Bust" (or whatever the title was/is) thread and I said to myself "Yep, she's preggo"!! As for testing multiple times.....I am so guilty. When I got my BFP, I, like you, had been trying for ever and ever (I was not on JM for some of my journey) and just could not believe that I was actually pregnant so, yes, I took about 8 or 9 tests.
As for the cramping, like all of the others said, it is normal. My doctor actually told me to take an Extra Strength Tylenol throughout the day to relieve the cramping, mainly so that I would not freak out with every little cramp. I did not take them as directed, but, if I started cramping, I would take one. Also, drinking water can help also, keeping yourself hydrated.

By the way, will your RE (or whoever) do your bloodwork? He/she may do it pretty quick. You should probably go ahead and set up your first appt.

JESSY!!!
A BFP!!! Congratulations! Do you even remember me? lol. It's been sooo long. I remember when you were still WTTC, and I know how long you have been waiting for your BFP.
Quit testing! You really can't expect the line to have a noticible difference in just one day. Try to enjoy it.....and only test every few days I only say that because I loved POAS too, and tested regularly until at least 5 weeks. hehe.
