Jessy's 20 questions post got me thinking about these. I thought it would be fun to tell all the old wives tales that we have been told throughout our pregnancies. This way the new girls will know what to believe and what not to believe!

*Don't put your hands above your head or you will strangle your baby
*If you have heartburn your baby will have tons of hair
*If you crave sweets you will have a girl and if you crave spicy food you will have a boy
*The way you are carrying (high or low) will determine if you are having a boy or a girl

I get the heartburn one ALL the time... my mom had terrible heartburn with one of my little brothers and she swore up and down he had a TON of hair. Needless to say, he was absolutely bald for the first two years of his life!

* Cocoa butter will prevent stratch marks- I have rarely lotioned up during my pregnancy and my belly is bald.... and then there are others that have used gobs of it and ended up with alot.

If you get pimples during pregnancy, you are having a girl.

I have eaten mostly sweet stuff and im having a girl....although I had a sweet tooth anyway.lol

* Have read that lots of morning sickness can mean a girl
*faster heart rate means a girl, slower means a boy

This is too funny! I've heard the heartburn thing too. Every time I get heartburn, my mom says, "She's gonna have a full head of hair" Guess we shall see! I've always carried really low and I'm having a girl, so that's false! I have had much more of a sweet tooth though. I can't think of any others to add.

If your nose broadens during pregnancy, you're having a girl.

I think most of these are the ones I've heard of, too. I haven't had any heartburn so I'll be interested to see if Ameila has hair or not.

Oh the nose broadening is funny!! My friend had a boy in March and her nose got bigger!!! And now I'm hearing all the old wives tales about going into labor....eat spicy foods, have sex, walk...even ride on a bumpy road!!! Oh and I've also heard squat down and clean your floors! But honestly at this point, I'll try anything!

If you arent "blooming" its a girl and she is robbing your beauty!.

I could not eat anything sweet during pregancy pure spicy and salty stuff and I had a girl so that one turned out to be false for me, as for the heartburn I had tons and Camila was born with tons of hair everywhere.
