Just wondering if this complete and utter exhaustion is normal for this stage of pregnancy??? I've heard about people getting their iron checked but how do you know if you need your iron checked? I just feel like I could sleep for hours upon hours, but then I get so dang sore from laying down. I'm just getting so frustrated...I keep waiting for this burst of energy but it never seems to be happening. I just want this baby to come already. I'm staying home from work tomorrow so I can rest. I just hope this is my bodies way of saying I'm ready to deliver??? Or is that just me hoping!!!!

I was really tired at the end. My burst of energy was at the beginning of my 3rd tri, not at the end! When I got put on bed rest the last week of my pg, I would wake up, hang out for a while have a nap around 10:30, then another nap in the afternoon. . . it was crazy. Just keep trying to get as much rest as you can--trust me, you need to stock up!

I've been super tired, too, Gwen. I know it's not my iron, though. They tested me again at week 36. I think it was a routine thing they do so if you think you might be low, I would just ask them to test you.
I had been feeling really good until the last couple of days. Well, I actually feel okay in most senses except I'm starting to feel like a whale. I really don't want to be gaining weight anymore. It probably has to do with the weather being so nice here, too, and seeing everyone in their cute summer clothes. I just want Amelia here and to be able to move around and get my butt back in gear.

I am tired too, even with the iron. When I wasn't on it I felt like all the muscles in my body were giving out. I felt like I couldn't even raise my arms and I was going to collapse. It wasn't just a sleepy tired. I feel the sleepy tired even now, but I think that it's normal.

OH I soooo hope this is the start of something. I feel like I'm reading into every little ache and pain but I have been a bit crampy and my hips are KILLING me!!! Who knows. I go to the doc tomorrow morning (friday) for my 37 week appointment so pray I can get the doc to do an internal check to see if I have any progress!!!!

I was absolutely exhausted during the third trimester! I agree with the other girls, stock up on as much sleep as you can now, you won't get much after the baby arrives

Oh my goodness, just reading about your aching hips takes me right back to that pain. I don't miss it at all! Thank God that goes away as soon as the baby comes! Your iron may be low, but it's also a huge toll on your body carrying another human being! Everything is working overtime to put the finishing touches on that beautiful little girl of your's & that would make anyone tired!
I had low iron & was given Ferralet (sp?), but I honestly didn't feel much different when I was on it than when I wasn't. I think work just kicked my booty. I'd come home & want to collapse. I couldn't even face cooking dinner & cleaning up.
I know everyone says it but it's true. Rest now while you can. There won't be uninterrupted sleep once the baby arrives. And once you've gone through a couple of weeks of getting up every couple of hours with a baby, you may start thinking back longingly on your 3rd trimester...'was it really that bad??' The good thing is that it does get better after a couple of months. The first month or two is like boot camp lol. So rest up lady!
