37 (almost 38) week appt update

Well, not much to update really. Went to the doc. Didn't gain any more weight (THANK GOD), blood pressure good, 112/70, her heart rate was 140's (lower than last week though but still good), measuring the same as last week. Doc did an internal check and I'm still at 1cm dilated and 75-80% effaced. Last week he said 75% effaced but she said it's subjective. So I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little disappointed. I was soooo hoping for more progression!

On a positive note, I told her about in the evening times Paige is kicking me and it's VERY painful, like doubling over in pain and then I get several "crotch zingers" (then of course I had to explain them)!! She said that they are localized contractions and that's it's just preparing my cerivix for labor. So at least I know what they are now. I just thought she was kicking the holy crap out of me and it HURT!!!!! I told her that I just needed to decide when to have my mom come into town since she's 4 hours away and she said "I would have her wait" so at least we got that settled too. Unless my water breaks or my contractions become regular, there is no need for her to rush here. So anyway, that's the update. Some good news some "same" news!!! I'm still praying she comes early. 16 days and counting!!!

Well, that is okay!! Believe me, she will be here before you know what even hit you and then you will wonder where the 7 months went (Tori will be 7 months old on the 2nd

ditto and same here except Christian will be 9 months old on the 2nd.

Sorry you haven't progressed more, but I'm sure Paige will come soon. You're such a good mommy already that she doesn't want to leave!

Sounds like it was a good appointment even though there was some unchanged stuff. I'm glad everything is normal bp-wise and all that. Paige will be here soon!!!

Sounds like Miss Paige is pretty comfortable in there for now! I hope she does make her appearance soon though!!!

Great appointment! No progress is okay for now even though I know you want her out.

I got my first crotch zingers today. I couldn't believe what they felt like!!!
