Hi ladies...when did you begin your baby registry? Or when do you plan on beginning your baby registry if you haven't yet??
I am thinking of starting the registry after our BIG u/s on June 8th so I'll have a better idea of what we're looking to get, but there are already some things I would like to get regardless of gender...
What do you think?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we waited until after the 20 week u/s and then registered. Also, it depends on when your showers will be. I don't think there are any rules. You can get a registery started and then always add and change things. Good luck...it's so fun!!!

We actually started at 16w. I wanted to wait until we knew the gender but I was so excited after our 16w appt that we went straight to BRU! It actually was easier that way because it wasn't as overwhelming to do it all at once. There is a lot more than you think that you can register for without knowing the gender. Like bottles, BF supplies, bouncers and play yards...etc. Then once we found out the gender we picked bedding and clothes and such.

Thanks for the info ladies! I've been dying to register, but I might wait until after the u/s and make a day of it.
I have been looking through the BRU website and saving tons of items to my favorites links

I want to do it now LOL
We won't be finding out gender, so I'll probably start it a little earlier than some since I don't have to wait for that u/s. But it will probably be after I'm sure the baby is fine around the time I have the 16/18/20 week u/s.

I also registered after our big u/s where we found out the sex.
But Babies R Us has a fun thing called a Wish List. You can make one and keep it private (so no one searching for a registry finds it). I started that way before I registered and would save all my favorite things to it.
Have fun!

That's what I have right now, a wish list at BRU. We plan to register after our big u/s in July but the closest BRU is an hour away so right now I'm just checking stuff out online.

I started early too. We found out the genders around 17w and had already started registering for a few things. I wanted to make sure we had everything on there early in case I got/get put on bedrest. I went back w/ my sister after my initial visit and she helped me since i had no clue what I'd need. DH and I went back 1 more time after that to pick out a few fun things.

That's how I started mine. I researched everything that I liked and put it onto my wish list. Printed it out and took it to BRU with me when it was time to register so I could look at what I liked in person. A lot of the cute things on the internet = not so cute IRL. Registering was so much fun *sigh*

I registered after my big u/s, too. It might be a little early, but I'm a huge planner and it helped me to see what we needed, etc. Just do a quick double check before you think you might be having your shower to make sure the items you put on your registry are still in stock.

Since it's only a week away, I would wait. You could do it as a celebration of finding out what you're having
We found out the sex at 16 weeks during a 3D u/s, but we waited until I was into my 5th month before registering. We just decided spur of the moment & we were so unprepared! But I was adding & changing things until 2 days before my shower. That online registry is pure evil...it becomes an obssession!
Just a word to the wise, before you go to the store, wear something comfy, eat a little something, & be prepared to spend a good 2-3 hours. It's fun, but it takes a lot of time!

We did ours the day of our big u/s at 20 weeks! It was so much fun going in there knowing what we were having and we made a big day of it.
