I just wanted to introduce myself here on the graduates board. I got my bfp on a FRER on monday and followed up this morning with a digital. It was our first "real" try after 1 1/2 yrs of NTNP so I still find it hard to believe! Im 23 and my husband is 25. I was just wondering when do I call to make the 1st dr appt??

Welcome to the grads section!!! I'm Gwen (30) married to Joe (30) and we are expecting our first any flippin day now!!!

I'd say call the doc now to make an appointment to get your blood work done so they can verify your pregnancy. Then they will determine when your real first appointment will be. Congrats again!!!!!

Congrats and welcome!! I would call when you have a chance. I know a lot of doctors don't schedule 1st appointments till 8-10 weeks. They will probably draw some blood first to confirm the pregnancy. Good luck!

Congrats on your BFP! I'm Diane and due 11/27.

I called to make my first appt the Monday after I got my BFP. My appt was at 11 weeks, 4 days. Lots of doctors wait until after 8 weeks to schedule you (I could have been seen earlier than 11 weeks but my DH was out of town so we wanted to wait). Also, some doctors do just a urine test to confirm our pregnancy so don't freak out if they don't do a blood test. I didn't get any blood drawn until I was almost 9 weeks.

Congrats and welcome! I'm Lynda (29) and DH (36) is Jason, we're expecting our first 12/23. I also called the day after I got my BFP to schedule my appt. My doctor doesn't see patients until 8 weeks; however, because of my previous loss, he saw me at 6 weeks too.
