I am really feeling like AF is on her way... I have a confession to make...my temp was down again this morning, not below my coverline, but still low...I still took the test, cause I promised you girls...but I'm super scared that I'm losing my little bean, just when DH and I got used to the idea that we are going to be having a baby. I'm scared to go do a pee test tomorrow at the dr. cause I'm scared it's going to come back negative...it's not FMU, who knows how much water I would have drank at that point, and how diluted my urine will be...I just don't know what to do.. Please pray for me and my bean...I am still temping...but I'm hoping it goes back up tomorrow...that would make me feel better.

crossing my fingers all is ok ... one piece of advice I often see around here though, once you get your BFP STOP temping! It can cause unnecessary stress. Hoping this is the case for you.

O Marci...I hate that you are worrying. I will definitely pray for you that everything works out okay for you!! Just try to hold it for as long as you can before you go to the doc tomorrow. Like as many hours as possible. But don't worry too much just yet. I know some people's charts that are pregnant, there temps continued to fluctuate after their +HPT. I hope your temp does go back up though!!!!!
GL!! I will be thinking of you!

Marci, step away from the temping!!! Almost every new grad comes here with the same thing...you're temp is supposed to flucuate! Cramping is a normal feeling when you are first pregnant. As long as you are not having any heavy (red) bleeding, you should be fine!
I'm sure your dr. appt will go well and you'll get that confirmation you are looking for Looking forward to hearing how it went!

Yes, most definitely STOP TEMPING!!!! If you are concerned (as we all are in the beginning) just POAS like crazy. I believe I took like 10 tests even after the blood test confirmed I was def prego!!! It's ok to POAS, but just stop temping you will only drive yourself completely nutso!!!! Good luck at the doc's office and hang in there..your symptoms will come quickly!!!

I am sorry you are going through such worries right now. The other ladies are right, don't temp anymore because it will just cause you stress. Cramps are absolutely normal in early pregnancy. When you go to the doctor tomorrow, they will probably want to check your betas (twice over 2 days) to make sure they are doubling. Good luck at the doctor tomorrow. You and your bean are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ok...so I didn't listen to you guys, and I temped again this morning. It was back up...so that was good, and made me feel better. I can't wait till my dr. appointment, and then I can go from there. I hope it doesn't take too long to get in to see an OBGYN because I really want to hear the heart beat, or at least see my little bean, and I think that would make it more real KWIM? Thanks girls for helping me feel better, and I will step away from the thermometer now...LOL!!
I'm not sure if it is the same here, and I'm not sure if my family dr. will check my beta's. ( I actually haven't heard of this happening anywhere but on here. )
I hope that he does something though...I mean 3 PG tests can't be wrong can they?

Definately step away from the thermometer. It will only cause extra stress. Your temps are going to flucuate every day so don't worry about that. I stopped temping as soon as I got my +. My OB doesn't do BETA's either unless there is a history of m/c or infertility. I did have them done through with my RE and trust me when I say this and I'm sure the other ladies will agree it is hell going through them so if you don't need them count yourself lucky. One thing I would suggest you ask to have drawn is your progesterone levels your OB shouldn't have any issues with that. Good luck and kup.

Don't expect to hear the heartbeat right away. When I got my BFP I went in and they took blood but didn't have my first "real" appointment till week 9 and even then I didn't get to HEAR the heartbeat, but we did get a u/s and could see the heart flickering away. It wasn't until the next appointment 4 weeks later that we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. All docs are different though so who knows what yours will do. GOod luck!!!!

I've been worried just like you Marci! Except for me it's because i'm spotting. It scares me to death! I'll keep you in my prayers and please keep my little bean in yours too.
I'm also still temping to make sure my temps stay up. So far so good on that.

OK now that your temp went back up I agree with the other girls to put it away!!! It is normal for your temps to fluctuate now because your hormones are all over the place. As far as feeling like AF is coming that is normal too. Early pg cramping feels a lot like AF cramping. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and that will help. I get extra crampy when I do too much or am dehydrated. Most Drs don't do betas unless you have a history of loss but some do. Won't hurt to ask for one to ease your mind. Also you won't see a HB on u/s until after 6w and you probably wont hear a HB on doppler until around 12 weeks so you have time to find a good OB. Some OBs will do a dating u/s at around 8w and some won't do one until the 20w anatomy scan. Good luck and I am sure everything is just fine!!!

Oreobaby and Longing4baby (sorry I do not know your names),
If you are concerned because of cramping or whatever, you may call your OB and let them know that you are spotting, cramping etc and they may go ahead and do a blood test to check your numbers. Everything is probably just fine though, but I just thought that I would throw that out there. Good luck and KUP!!

I will be getting my referal to an OB today...because this is my first baby...and here in Canada, you don't get an OB until you are PG, I have not been referred, but will be today. I can't wait, and can't wait to find out when my first appointment will be.

I agree with eveyone else on the temping. Just POAS if you have to. And I felt like AF was coming, too, for a while. Hang in there and KUP!! Let us know when your appt is. That's exciting!!

Haha, Marci, it's so funny...I started basically the EXACT same thread when I first started here in grads! My temp dropped way down, almost to coverline, the day after my BFP, so I was convinced something was wrong, then the next day it was back up again, so I finally listened to all the wise ladies here and hid my thermometer. Now that you're pregnant, your body will do all kinds of crazy things, so as long as you are still getting positive pregnancy tests, you're safe! GL!!

I had cramping for several weeks after getting my BFP. I was sure AF was on the way the week leading up to testing so I as shocked when I saw two lines. Try not to stress out too much, cramping can be totally normal.
Also, like April said a heartbeat won't be seen on u/s until after 6 weeks - the baby's heart doesn't start beating until around the 5th or 6th weeks.
Good luck!

Im sorry you are feeling worried. I always suggest to STOP temping after getting your bfp also because your temos can fluctuate so much and will drive you crazy. I woul ask your dr to do bw if you are worried.
