I need help from those who have their nurseries all set up and ready. I am feeling overwhelmed at all of the "stuff" we have accumulated. Babies sure do need lots!

So here's my questions. What kinds of things do you keep in the dresser? What do you keep in the closet? Where are things like bibs, hats, socks, burp cloths, blankets, etc. kept? What about cloth diapers if you are doing those?

Is anyone willing to share inside the closet or even inside the drawers pictures for me? I just don't see how we can fit it all in his room!

Well, I have a super small house and have to use part of Cherie's closet for storage for my stuff. I had a very hard time fitting everything. I was given SO much! I ended up putting all N and 0-3 onsies, pants, and sleepers in the dresser, then threw some 3-6 month stuff in the bottom drawer. I got a changing table to organize all my diapering supplies, although I keep most of the cloth that she currently fits into downstairs sinces that's where I change her most. Outfits are hanging in her closet up to 12m. Anything larger is in totes and stored in the shed. I have a hanging sweater organizer that holds dresser stuff size 3-6 thru 12m, plus bibs, hats, and shoes. I have a basket for socks and tights and hair bows. I'm NAK, but I'll take some pics when I'm done.

My bookcase downstairs where I keep my diaper and pump stuff. It's in my living room. I also have a changing pad downstairs. Most of my dipes are being washed ATM,

My changing table where I keep diaper and bath stuff and anything else I can't find a place for

Dresser, size N and 0-3 stuff, 1st drawer onsies, 2nd sleepers, 3rd pants, last some 3-6 mth stuff

Basket with socks, tights, and hair bows. I had nowhere else to put them.

Her side of the closet. Outifits, bigger dresser stuff, stuff we don't need yet (highchair etc) blankets, hangers, bibs, hats, shoes, and random other things

Her clothes take up a big part of my side of the closet!

I also have a drawer under her crib where I keep sheets and some bigger prefolds and covers. Sorry so picture heavy! It shows you can fit a lot in a little space when you need to! Every time I get it all organized, I get more stuff, though! I can never keep up. We also have a 5 shelf bookcase that needs to be put together, so I can put stuff there, too.

If you look at my nursery thread you can see where I keep everything

I keep my cloth diapers in that toy storage organizer next to the changing table. The wipes I keep in two small separate baskets on top of the dresser (one for sherpa one for velour), and the extra cloth wipes I keep in a top drawer along with the socks and hats. The rest of the dresser has all his clothes up to 3 months. I have the blue bookcase for books and the middle shelf currently has my nursing stuff and the bottom shelf has plastic buckets where I have his toys. The green shelving unit next to the crib has three baskets--the first has swaddlers, the second extra burp cloths (cheapo cloth diapers) and the third has all sorts of waterproof pads. Inside the closet I have that organizer with the cloth drawers I got from Target. I keep a whole bunch of receiving blankets, towels/washcloths, and other stuff like that in the drawers. The other spaces have plastic buckets to house all the little things like grooming supplies, his bath stuff (in a bucket I can just carry into the bathroom and keep separate and organized), lotions and other stuff. I also keep my moby and ergo in that organizer. The other side of the closet has one of those hanging shelf thingies and that is where I chose to keep his extra sheets, boppy covers, changing pad covers, thick blankets, sheet savers, bibs, etc. Hanging in the closets are his older clothing and then I have a plastic bin I am putting up top that now has his older clothes in it but will eventually be where I store everything that he grows out of so I can rotate the next bigger items in their place. He doesn't have many shoes now, but I have a little bin I keep those in next to the closet organizer. I also keep his bathtub in the closet next to the organizer. And then on the table next to the glider I have a basket with burp cloths (since I will be feeding him a lot here) and a soft push light that is soothing if I want a soft light on while nursing. I also need to still set up his second lamp over there for reading time so I don't have to turn on a harsh overhead light when it is "bedtime".

Have fun organizing! I am all about everything having a place and love how organized Jack's room is. One thing I suggest is to remember he will be growing out of a lot of stuff quickly, so make sure the room is versatile to accommodate that (have an area of storage somewhere ready to pack his small diapers and clothes away as he grows, have room for the extra toys and books he will get and other stuff). Another thing I like is that I could change everything around and still have it organized, just in different spots if I wanted. I like versatility!

I have a little houe too! In her room she has a rail (still havent got around to getting her a closet yet!) where all her nice outfits are (up to about 6 months) then in the chest of drawers: top drawer, pyjamas and onesies, and baskets with socks, tights, hats, hairbands etc.
Second drawer, tops, trousers and not dressy outfits
Third drawer sheets, blankets, muslin squares and swaddlers.
Bottom drawer is clothes aged 3-6 months.
Then I have boxes of the bigger sizes of clothes on the top of her bookcase.
Downstairs is where I usually change her, so all her cloth nappies and a packet of disposeables (still wont fit the small size CDs) and wipes, lotions, potions etc are down there,

DonŽt worry, youŽll soon realise that everything you want is upstairs when youre downstairs and vice versa, just make it all look lovely and then when he arrives go with the flow!!
