I know I don't post much, I'm just trying to keep my nervousness down and sometimes reading stressful things makes me nervous. I just wanted to know because up until yesterday I felt fine, and then yesterday I wake up with this nauseous feeling that lasted the whole day and the whole night. I called in sick for work because I just cannot handle it. My mom thinks I should call the doctors and so do I because if this keeps up I don't think I could function normally as in go to work and pretend I'm feeling fine....... This is making me upset I just want to cry I'm no good at being sick I'm a weak weak woman! It's only been 24 hours and I'm thinking I'm just not tought enough to handle pregnancy. I feel awful is this normal? Will it go away? Should it even last all day. I know morning sickness is not just in the morning but I don't think it should be a 24 hour thing? What should I do? I know some girls would say they would switch places any time with me and feel nauseous if they could be pregnant. I'm sorry I wish I was so tough! That makes me feel even worse........

Awe, I'm so sorry you are feeling so bad. I was super lucky and didn't get morning sickness, but from I'm told or remember others saying is that morning sickness hits you about 7-8 weeks and could last until you hit your second trimester. Also, just because it's called morning sickness doesn't mean it's just in the morning so it could last all day. I'm so sorry you are feeling bad. I hope some other girls have more advice for ya. Hang in there sweetie!

I'm sorry you are feeling so sick. Unfortunately, morning sickness affects everyone differently. I hate to tell you that I went through a horrible phase where I was nauseous 24 hours a day too. My doctor would only give medication if you couldn't keep your food and water down, but mine was basically just a sick feeling and gagging. So I just had to suffer through it. Some of the really bad days, I would take a day out of work.
Hang in there! I know it might feel like you can't do it, but you can. I'm a weak girl too, and I made it through. Women have been doing this for thousands of years. If it gets really bad, try calling your doctor and seeing what they say. Good luck!

fortunately so far I have only been having occasional waves of nausea, so it hasn't been that bad. I hope that you are feeling better soon!!

My morning sickness started at 6 weeks, 4 days and it was pretty much 24 hours per day. I found I felt better as long as I had something in my stomach so I'd force myself to eat but it was so hard at times. I also had to get up in the middle of the night to eat several times because I'd wake up feeling sick. I never vomited but I was miserable for several weeks, but it was gone by 10-11 weeks.
Stick with foods that you can eat and that make you feel better. Hopefully it passes quickly!

My m/s started just before I hit 7 weeks and was also 24 hours a day. I never vomited, but gagged every time I tried to eat (yet it was worse when I was hungry - fun times!). It actually was only bad like that about a week, and now I just get occasional waves of nausea but it isn't so omnipresent anymore. I know it sux, but you can do it! Just try to relax, take off from work if you need to, and explore different types of foods that might help calm your tummy (chicken broth, crackers, lemon candy, bagels, etc.) to see if anything can help you survive for the time being. Hopefully this bad stage won't last the whole first trimester. Also, don't be afraid to call your Dr - they may be able to help you out. GL!

I started getting sick 24 hours a day when I was 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant. That is always the first day I started throwing up. It lasted until I was 17 weeks along. I lived in bed. I was SO deathly sick all day and all night. It really, really sucked. I pretty much lost all my clients (I am a hairstylist) at work. It was a rough ride but SO worth it. Hang in there.

All day is totally normal. Whoever said m/s is only in the morning was on crack! I remember thinking I wouldn't be able to handle it either but you will get through it. My OB gave me phenergan to start with and it just made me even more exhausted than I already was so then they gave me zofran which didn't completely take away the nausea but definately took the edge off so that I could function. The good news is that it will go away! I still have days where I am nauseous off and on (actually took a zofran today) but the all day misery is over.

Hi Ladies I've been totally MIA due to the sickness I couldn't even think about it for a while. I called the doctors office and they prescibed me Diclectin, it works magic for me honestly. I still have yet to see my doctor though. I'm very glad she's prescribed me this because I couldn't function I missed two days of work, so I had to tell them I was pregnant before I really wanted to. I'm just glad I can finally eat now and I feel more normal. I'm very sorry for those of you who's doctors weren't as compasionate...... I don't think anyone should have to suffer when there are products available to make it easier. ........ If you can ask your doc for diclectin do so it's awesome!

My morning sickness kicked in full foce this last week. It is not fun at all. I've found that nippling on crackers throughout the day helps. Also I really am getting some relief from sucking on lemon drops. And for some reason, I don't get sick when I eat a bagel. Find whatever works for you. Just keep reminding yourself it's for a good cause!

Try sipping on cold ginger ale, or sucking on ice cubes. I also sometimes put a cold wash cloth over my eyes and lay down. It will ALL be worth it in the end.

YOU LIVE IN CANADA!!! Go get yourself some Diclectin from your doctor. It is completely safe to take and is only available in Canada. I had 24/7 morning sickness and was vomiting at my desk, waking up through the night to vomit...it was horrible. Diclectin really takes the edge off. You may still feel a little queezy from time to time, but not nearly as bad. I felt overwhelmed at the beginning with how horrible I felt too. Its an adjustment and a half. Hang in there...another few weeks and you will feel better than you have ever felt! But honestly, make an appointment with your doctor...there is no need for you to feel so horrible when you could be taking Diclectin and feeling much better!
***Just read your post about you getting diclectin...I'm glad your doctor agreed and that it is working for you. It really is a miracle pill! Expensive, but SO worth it! You will get through this rough part hun...in the end you will barely remember it! lol

I guess I really am lucky considering my insurance at work covers 100% of the cost of prescribed meds....... It is a miracle pill!
