When did you guys have yours? I've heard some people say a lot of doctors will only do two and sometimes they wont do the first until 15_ weeks! But then Dh told me that his ex had 5 so i guess it just totally depends on the doctor? I dont want to wait 10 more weeks especially with this spotting! As i said in my other post i'm extremely on edge and i think an u/s and hearing the HB would make me feel so much better.

It'll really depend on your Doc -- most of them don't have you come in for your first appt until at least 8 weeks.
If you're really freaking out.. call them.. explain the spotting and how concerned you are -- and I'm sure they'll have you come in earlier.. at least to check your levels.

Yes, I agree with April. If you are concerned, you should definitely call and let them know. I am going in at 8 weeks for an ultrasound but that is because I was bleeding and the doc wants to make sure everything is okay. But I think it really depends on the doc. GL!

I am going to try to convince my dr. to do mine when I go on the 29th...i'm super scared it's just so uncertain...you think they would do it more often just to put our minds at ease!!

I think my Dr typically does the first u/s at 12 weeks...I had two already because of my previous losses. Even if you can't get an u/s before that, at around 10 weeks they can hear the HB on the doppler. But if you're concerned, I say call and see what they can do.

Depends on the Dr. Since you are spotting they may do an early one if they normally wouldn't. A lot of people have to wait until the 20w anatomy scan.

I didn't have my first appt and u/s until I was 11 weeks, 4 days. However, I wasn't have any spotting or other symptoms that concerned me.
I agree with the other ladies - since your spotting and worried, talk to your doctor about it and see if they will do one early for you.

My first was at 5w6D (because I was having a stabbing pain in my left ovary, which ended up being a corpus luteum cyst) It depends on the doctor and if they consider it a low or high risk pregnancy.

I think the other ladies said it all already. Call and ask for an U/S if you are very concerned about the spotting and overall worry about the pregnancy. I've had a loss and although my doctor's office doesn't see patients before 8 weeks, I asked to come in earlier for blood work and to verify the pregnancy (went in at 5w6d). I've had 2 U/Ss so far and have heart the HB, like Christine said, at 10 weeks. Usually the doctor will want to relieve some of your stress because it is not good for the baby. Good luck!

Most people have early u/s because
A. their history...either previous miscarrages or infertility. (I did IVF and had one every week after my HCG came back positive until I was 10wks)
B. There is a problem.
If you are really worried about the spotting, call your Dr. They may or may not do an u/s

My first was at 12 weeks only because I was having the 1st trimester screening done. Otherwise I would have had to wait until 20 weeks.
Oh wait! I just remembered that at 8 weeks I went to the ER because I was having some cramping and bleeding. They did one then too. But it wasn't scheduled like the others.
