Had a bit of a scare last night

So yesterday afternoon, right after work I started feeling sick to my stomach then came the headache and it just got worse all evening. I came home and layed down. Dinner sounded gross and I couldn't eat a thing. Then I started freezing like crazy so around 9pm we took my temp and I was running a 100 fever which is real high for me since I typically run a degree lower than "normal". So DH called the doc and they told us to go to L&D. So 10pm off we went. They hook me up to all the monitors and her heartrate was above 200!!! I was so scared. They said since my heart rate was high and with my fever it would make hers high. So they pumped me full of fluids, gave me some medicine, did some bloodwork and let me sleep for a while. All the bloodwork came back normal so that was good. They said I was having a few contrax but nothing consistent and didn't think I was in the early stages of labor. So, I was sent home around 4am extrememly exhausted. When we left her heart rate was around normal but still a little high. I'm still running a fever though. They said I probably just have some type of bug....great timing huh??? ANyway, I'm getting ready to head to my check up appointment so I'll keep you all posted.

On a positive note, they did say that I was still dilated to a 2 but was 90% effaced so here's to hoping!

UGH!! Terrible timing and so scary! I am glad you are feeling better and I hope something happens for you soon!

oh wowGwen,ihope you dont have the bug for too long! thatwouldnt be fun to have while your in labour. Hope your feeling better soon.

Oh no that doesn't sound very fun

Good that they were able to bring her heartrate down!! Good Luck at your appointment and hopefully Paige will be making her debut soon!!!

Gwen, I hope you start feeling better soon. It would be yucky to have a bug/virus at the same time you were in labor. I hope Paige waits a couple of days to give mommy a rest!

Im sorry Gwen...I am just now seeing this! Take it easy and drink lots of fluids before LO decides to come...who knows you may not make it to Thursday!
