I am catching up on posts... sorry for missing this I am sure the brown spotting is nothing to worry about- as long as it's not red and accompanied by clots/cramping... your little bean is probably just fine. Hang in there and take it easy!!!

I had brown spotting as well, it went away and everything is good with my pregnancy!!

If it turns red or is accompanied by cramps, I would call your doctor, they will know what to do!

It has turned red....

I have it about every 4th or 5th time I wipe...my dr. can't see me till Thursday...and the nurse offered me no advise or anything.

I just don't know what to do...I just sit here and wait...

Thursday as in a week from now?? If that's the case... if the bleeding gets any worse or doesn't go away--- I'd go to the ER. They may be able to give you some answers. I am so sorry- I'm praying that your little bean is just fine!!!

Marci, I would call your OB back, or even your GP, and insist that one of them just send a request for bloodwork to a lab. If you do a beta draw today and again on Saturday you could have a better answer well before next Thursday. That's what I did. Please know that if you are losing this baby, it is NOT because of anything you are doing or not doing. As hard as it is to deal with, there is NOTHING you can do to change what will happen. I am so sorry you are going through this, and I still really, really hope it will turn out okay.

I'm so sorry! I agree with the other girls ~ if things get worse or don't get better (or if it just makes you feel better), go to the ER. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I am going to call my OB nurse again...yes, Thursday as in next week...I'm not too sure I'm happy with this OB... I am going to call tomorrow, insist on talking to the dr. and insist on her sending me for beta's...I know there is nothing that I can do to prevent it if it is going to happen, it is so sad...but I just need to know.

Oh Marci, I really hope that this is nothing to worry about. If it continues or gets worse, just go to the ER or an urgent care centre. Even if it stays the same or gets better you should probably insist on a blood draw. I'm surprised they're being so difficult.

I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

I had brown spotting that turned to bright red gushes and a few little clots, I went to the ER and they did an U/S. She said that it was unknown cause bleeding, and would last for 5 days. It did, and stopped completely. She also said not to worry again unless its accompanied by pain/cramps or heavier than a period.

I hope everythings fine, and I´d go to the hospital (its what they´re there for).

I would go ahead and go to the ER, I have had one m/c (not saying that you are or are not) and when I started worrying (bleeding etc) I went to the ER, they did an ultrasound to check things out. Anyway, I think that they would do an u/s if you went to the ER. It is definitely better than waiting until next week!!! Just go and tell them that you are 5 weeks pg and that you have experienced some bleeding.

Hey girls...thanks for thinking of me today.

Last night I sat around and did nothing, watched movies with DH and watched TV. The spotting went away...nothing so far today...try to sit as much as possible at work...so to not over exhert myself...I have been going pretty much every night since I found out I was PG, and I'm really hoping that this was just my body's way of letting me know to slow down.

I am feeling a little nauseous today, so that is a good sign. I am not going to get my beta's checked...I would take them today, and then not again till Monday, and DH knows me, it would be the only thing I would think about all weekend, and it would just stress me out more...so he has asked for me to just wait till the appointment. So I said I would unless it got worse, and then i would go to the ER. I am praying that it stays away, and that my little bean is all tucked cozy in my uterus. I am going to ask my OB to check my progesterone on Thursday as well...Do you girls think I'm silly to be waiting...I just know that I will stress about the beta's all weekend, and I'm really trying to get back into a positive frame of mind.
