I'm not sure if any of you have experienced them, or know someone that has experienced them...are they painful??? Or is there just a lot of blood and clots??

OK - I'll be honest - I had a missed m/c at 10 weeks (lost the baby a little after 6 weeks).. I started spotting so I went to the Doctor and they found no heartbeat - so I was told I was having a missed m/c and a D&C was planned for a few days away since my body wasn't recognizing it.

I started bleeding and cramping the night before my D&C - it was extremely painful - like curled in a ball on the floor - painful. There was a lot of blood and tissue.

Sorry for the TMI - but you really can't mistake a m/c. I hope thats not what you're going through - I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

My losses were all before 8 weeks. For me they felt like a period, but magnified. Six of my losses were basically like a normal period, just heavy bleeding and some clotting (you cant use tampons). My farthest pg was my worst m/c because I accually passed a yolk sac that was a ball about the size of a quarter and it hurt till it came out (again, like period cramps but very magnified). I hope you dont have to experience this. HUGS!

Im the same as Erika...mine were all early so it just felt like a normal AF except a tiny bit heavier and a little more cramps. Why are you asking this? Did i miss something? I really really hope your not miscarrying!

I had two D&Cs but one natural m/c at 5 1/2 weeks and it was horribly painful. It was far worse than any period I have ever had as far as pain and the amount of blood loss. Are you bleeding? I hope you aren't asking this because you are experiencing it. Keep us updated.

The pain at my 10 week m/c was so bad that I actually said to myself I don't know if I could ever TTC again because it was the worst thing I had ever gone through. Because I had a D&C scheduled that day I couldn't take any pain meds either. The one I had a 6.5 weeks was painful, but not as bad, probably because I took pain meds to help. But they were both way worse than a period. The first one was basically having contractions ever 4 minutes (I timed the pain). It was constantly crampy, but every 4 minutes it got unbearable.

I know you've been worried since day 1...do you have an appt scheduled?

I don't know if I am miscarrying or not...I won't really know anything until Thursday when I have my first appointment with the OB...I am having some red spotting, and that is what concerns me...I just feel like if I was miscarrying that I would have pain? Although some of my PG symptoms seem to have become less so that is a concern as well...I'm just so upset, I just don't want to lose this bean.

I know that spotting is comman...I am not having any cramping besides the regular light AF type cramping, I'm just a worrier...yesterday I had some red spotting as well, and it seemed to go away in the evening when I was relaxing, and didn't return till about 12 today, so it's not constant...I can't see my Dr. till next Thursday...I am thinking of going to emerge if it gets worse...

Yea, im almost certain you would be having some kind of cramping. Spotting can be normal EVEN red blood (as long as its spotting not flow)! Ill be thinking of you Marci! I think it'll be okay!

Definitely go to the ER if it keeps up. Hopefully they will do an u/s and help ease your mind.

I had a m/c @ 13 wks my first pg and it was major cramping and lots of bleeding. I had to have a d&C after that.

I hope thats not it and your bean is still safe as can be! Like was said, spotting can be normal. I had it around 7 wks with my last pg and he turned out just fine. If your cramping or bleeding becomes worse then i'd go to the ER.

Just to add, once I started bleeding with both it was non stop and continued for days. So the fact you're just spotting every now and then is great!

Ditto! Mine never slowed down or stopped. It was a constant flow and heavy.

I posted on your other thread. I did not have any pain whatsoever!! I just started spotting then it became red but not heavy. My pregnancy did not develop past 6 or 7 weeks (don't remember exactly) but I did not have any signs of m/c until 11 weeks (just bleeding) and I had a D&C. I hope that your little one is well, I would just definitely make sure KWIM?

My AF cramps are usually pretty intense anyway so when I miscarried it was like a normal period for me, but like I said they are normally VERY intense. Like some of the other ladies, once I started spotting it turned into a flow VERY quickly (like within a few hours) and I was passing some major clots and what not. I pray that your bean sticks and you don't have to worry about any of this.

I didn't have much pain. More like AF cramps. I didn't spot with mine, there was no mistaking what was going on, it was more like a gusher. I can tell you that my sister bleed thru alot with her pregnancy and she just gave birth to twins. So, i would keep positive until you know for sure.

With my loss I spotted off and on for a couple of days. On Wed I was experiencing back labour, on Thursday I had a lot of bright red blood with clots, but no pain and cramping. An u/s at the ER confirmed the loss. The next day I passed the baby and yolk sac. The pain was the worst ever with lots of blood. I was given percocet and that didn't help at all with the pain.

I truly hope that you are over-thinking things. Try to take it really easy over the weekend (sit down, and keep your feet up).
