We headed to the Seattle area (a 3 hour drive) Saturday for a friend's daughter's high school graduation party and DH had a surprise for me that I was in no way expecting......
He took me to Babies R Us for some shopping!! He had this all planned out. We left early that morning (7:00) he said he wanted to get to the party early so we could leave early, stopped for breakfast part way there, and stopped for another pit stop for me and baby. I had no idea where our friend lived so I didn't know we were going out of the way and I had mentioned that if we see a BRU can we stop since I've never been to one. That sneaky guy said the only one he knew of in the immediate area closed down soon after he'd been there last shopping for our (his at the time) neice. So, we're driving along and I spot one and say "oh! there's a BRU!" Next thing I know we are pulling into the parking lot (it was PACKED there that day), after I get out of the pickup he comes around, puts his arm around my shoulder, hands me his credit card and proceeds to explain that he was fibbing about the store being closed and that he wanted to do this all along and that's why we left so early.

He had no idea how much we would be spending, otherwise he'd have given me cash instead of his credit card. So, anyway, we went in and I got overwhelmed and lost at where to start. We decided that we should look at the more expensive things that most people wouldn't end up buying off a registry anyway...hoping to find crib and changing table, but that was difficult. So here's what we ended up getting. I think we did pretty good for just under $500 (including all the free stuff and the replacement warranty purchases).
Here's the whole stash of stuff....
We decided to go with a classic Pooh theme. So, here's wallpaper boarder and wall clings. As well as window shades for the car. The bottle and the BRU window shade were freebies.
Crib bedding (classic Pooh of course).....
And, lastly, we got 3 packs of NB Huggies Organic diapers (the deck of cards is to show how small they are!) And, they have Pooh on them! We are actually going to go cloth, but these are sooooo cool!
Sorry there are so many pics.....but I had a blast there and wish I'd had more than the couple of hours we were there.
