This early they should double every 48 to 72 hours. So not great news but not necessarily bad either. I thought you had an u/s today, no? Was it just the other beta draw I was thinking?

They should still be doubling every 48-72 hours.... I know I've read on some sites that after the levels get over 6000 that the doubling time will really slow down though.
I know my last betas (first # was almost 28,000 second # was like 41,000) - the doubling time was like 5 days - and everything is fine in my pregnancy so far.

Marci- my numbers did not 'double' in 48 hours either!!!
4/8 (22DPO)-4723
4/10 (24DPO)-6711
4/13 (27 DPO)-14776
They drew my numbers a 3rd time because they didn't double at first- everything is fine now - I know how hard it is not to freak out!!! But hang in there!

I was reading that it can take 4 days for doubling to occur after your beta reaches 6000. Your numbers still look good to me.

I went back to my GP and he called my OBGYN (she won't take calls from patients) Anyway, he read her my history, and she doesn't think there is anything wrong with my increase...however, she did say we should keep an eye on it. So I go Wednesday Morning for another set of Beta's, just to ensure they are still increasing. If they are still increasing after that, I think I will just let it be. I haven't had any spotting really since Friday (the spotting on Wednesday was very light, I'm sure was due to stress of DH being sick) but it wasn't nearly as much as last Thursday and Friday...thanks so much girls for all your thoughts and prayers, I think i can finally start to enjoy my pregnancy!!

I'm glad the doc didn't think you should be worried. Hang in there and good luck on Wednesday.

Hey sweety!
I have had some very light spotting Last Wednesday and went to hospital for our u/s on Thursday for it. It turns out it is very common. Your uterus is growing, sometimes a little vein can cause the spotting. Because sometimes it can tear (like a bruse)
Sorry if my English is of. I really hope you have nothing but good news! For me, I am still waiting for our next u/s July 2nd. Not regarding the spotting, but because they found something odd in our little one. we pray we will have a normal u/s at our next appt.
