I know there is not much that you can do when you are sick and pregnant, but is there anything you can take. I started sneezing and stuff today, which is how DH's flu started...but I don't want it to get that far...any suggestions???

If you are pretty sure it is the flu you can get some Tamiflu from your doc. As far as symptom meds, tylenol is basically it. I had a really bad sinus infection turned bronchitis when i was about 19w and I broke down and took sudafed. My doc said it was ok but I was still leary but it got so bad I really had no choice and it helped a lot. I hope you feel better soon! Keep hydrated and that will help too.

Tylenol is definitely ok, I ask my doctor every time I see her because I'm paranoid and every time she tells me "yes, it's ok".

I was given a list of meds I can take when I went to my first appointment . . . it's a standard, preprinted form from my doctor's office and it says: Sudafed (only with a doctors ok 1st), Robitussin (with no alcohol in it), and saline nose spray, Benedryl (children's liquid) and Mucinex.

I'm pretty leary of taking pretty much anything, I had a UTI a couple of weeks ago and had to take antibiotics but I haven't had a cold/flu yet so I'm not sure what I'd do in that case.

Hope you feel better soon.

Call your dr for a list. The most common meds on the list are Tylenol (including Tylenol Cold and a few others) Robitussin, Benadryl (doesn't have to be children's, full strength is just fine), Sudafed (the stuff behind the pharmacy counter, NOT PE) and Mucinex. I know there are a few more on the list I was given, but it's at home and I'm at DB's parents house right now. I hope you feel better!
