My reflux was getting really bad and I was eating TUMS like every 2 hours and even started having to prop myself up on a bunch of pillows at night so I wasn't flat. So I called my OB last week and got some Nexium...OMG I haven't even THOUGHT about TUMS since Wednesday!! It is a miracle drug! So if you are suffering call your Dr and get some...you will be amazed!!

That's really wierd because I used to take this before I got pregnant and my doctor told me to stop taking it once I became pregnant. I wonder why she said that then. I thought she said something about it being absorbed into the blood stream not sure though. I'll have to ask her again when I see her next month because I love that drug it's the best thing for acid reflux.

Dang, I wish I would have known that. I too had a lot of heartburn but it didn't even start until my 3rd trimester. You know they say that if you have a lot of heartburn your baby will be born with a lot of hair.....you know it my case it was sooooo true...you could almost braid her hair!! So may Haylea will give Paige a run for her money!!!! : )

I used to take Nexium several years ago when I was having a lot of trouble with reflux. It was AWESOME!

Not sure what my prescription medicine is, but it is amazing! I used to have it so bad at night, that I would throw up! It was awful! so, ask your dr's ladies! There is help out there if your heartburn is super bad!

I just started getting heartburn. It's not bad yet, but I'll have to keep this in mind. Someone in my DDC posted about pushing lightly on a pressure point below your sternum. So far it's working for me. As soon as I start get get heart burn, I press on that and it usually goes away. I'm quickly expanding though, so for all I know, I could have horrible heart burn an hour from now.
