Hey ladies! Sorry I've been a bit MIA. Amelia has her days and nights mixed up so she's usually up from about 11:30pm to 3am. I'm so tired during the day that I haven't been getting online much. Thankfully she's not crying when she's up - she's just hanging out. But she does start crying if I put her down so I have to be up and holding her. Hopefully she'll be figuring things out soon and I'll be back here posting more regularly. Otherwise, though, all is well. She is BFing great and is such a cutie. I can't believe she's a month old now!! Time is flying!

I've been wondering how you guys were doing. Sorry to hear about the days and nights thing. We are suffering a bit from that too. At night is it dark in her room? I've heard that they really can tell so we have made it much darker in her room at night and when we do have to feed or change her or whatever we don't turn on the huge light - just a dim one. Just a suggestion. Hope it gets better. We miss you around here!!!

Good to hear an update, Hollie. I certainly had more my fair share of being up all hours and it sucked. I never felt fully functional. We also did the no talking, no lights nighttimes. Diaper changes really woke Elliott up more, so as soon as possible I went to a one diaper per night system. We use BG 3.0's double-stuffed from about 6:30p-7:00a. Hang in there, sweetie. It does get better!

I'm sorry that she's all confused, but hopefully she'll get it figured out soon! I'm glad that things are good otherwise!

((((hugs))))) Those first few weeks are really rough-going. I hope she gets her days and nights straightened out soon. We went through the same thing. 3am-7am was like party central at our house..well, for everyone but DH & I I never believed people when they said it gets better because people keep telling you that & you keep waiting & waiting for it to happen, but trust me it does! Hang in there!

Luckily Ana has always slept well, but we had a tiny nightlight for night feedings/changes, but at 3 weeks she went 11-6. I just started her bath time and pyjamas, then a story (DH read her the sports pages of the newspaper) then milk then bed. It worked for us, and now at 3 months she goes 9.30-8.30 its great (but my poor boobs are complaining by then!)
I hope she works it out soon, because everything just seems harder without sleep!
