Today when I woke up I went to the bathroom and when I looked down I had a big gush of blood. I immediately called my ob/gyn and since they were about to close he told me to go straight to the ER. I was there for about 4 1/2 hours. They did an u/s and drew some labs. The u/s showed a gestational sac but it's a little irregular. The doctor said it was still really early and not to be worried about this. He said I measured at 5 weeks. My beta level came back 5,134 which more than doubled from my levels on 7/13 which were 1,554. They checked my cervix and he said it was tight and closed. I am now on strict bedrest and pelvic rest for 3 days. I have to call my ob/gyn tomorrow and schedule an appointment. I have stopped spotting for now. I am relieved that everything came back okay but still terrified that I could still lose this baby. Please keep my bean in your prayers.
Update: I just talked to the NP and they want to move up my appointment and do an u/s next week on the 23rd. My original appt. was for the 27th. I will be one day from 6 weeks so I hope we hear a hb then or at the very least see a yolk sac and fetal pole. I have barely there spotting only when I wipe which the NP thinks is just a residual from my bleed from yesterday. She said that it was probably a subchorionic bleed and that she actually had one with her last pregnancy and everything turned out okay. I'm still on bedrest and taking it easy. Still pretty scared but definately optimistic. I told DH yesterday that this baby was already being a little naughty which made him laugh! I think this little one is going to be a little firecracker that's for sure! Please still keep my bean in your prayers. I really appreciate all the kind words and prayers.

Oh Casey how scary ***Big Hug*** I'm so glad all the tests came back good and that the spotting has stopped. I will continue to pray for you and your little one. Take it easy and I hope you can get into your OB/GYN soon.

Thanks girls. I am still terrified that it will happen again. It's so hard not to break down and cry everytime I think about it. I am trying to stay positive and think about the fact that my betas more than doubled, they did see a gestational sac, and my cervix is tight and closed. I'm scared to death everytime I go to the bathroom now. So far today no spotting and I think any cramps I get are from being so freakin constipated (sorry for the tmi!). I will be calling my ob/gyn in about 15 minutes to see where he wants to go from here. I will update after I talk to him. He will probably have to call me back after seeing patients though so I might have a bit of a wait.

Casey, I am so sorry sweetie!!! I am just reading this now, because I am in bed so early lately. I am keeping you and your little bean in my prayers. I am glad your OB is optimistic. Please KUP after the ultrasound, or on anything else that happens. You are on bed rest, so use this time to have DH spoil you a little!!!
