I just wanted to recommend to anyone who hasn't put their car seat in yet to make sure you get it inspected after you install it. We obviously waited until the very last minute and went today to have ours inspected. Even though we thought it was good, it totally wasn't!

The police officers had to duct tape 3 pool noodles together and put them under the front of the seat to get it at the best angle. Then 2 big guys put all their weight into securing it down. It's not going anywhere now! They had to put 1 pool noodle in my husband's truck.

Anyway, I totally recommend getting someone trained to look at it. We definitely would have been one of the 5 out of 6 people who are driving around with their car seat not in properly!

Great idea! Fire fighters here do that. I'll have to check with my neighbor to see if he's been trained. My friend who is a FF hasn't Honestly, I can't imagine ours moving they are in there so tight as Britax has an amazing design, but I never thought about the angle.

I know our angle is ok because the Chicco's have a level bubble and we put it in there once just to see how it fit and it was perfect in my car. We haven't actually strapped it in but as soon as we do (probably should do that soon!) I am going to take it to be checked out.

Mine had a level bubble too, but once we strapped it in really tight with the LATCH it was right on the edge of being level/not level. I guess they want it to be completely centered.

The Fire Department on my hospitals base does the inspections for us.

Call your hospital and ask if they do it or if they have a list of who does.

I was going to suggest the hospital too because my hospital won't let you leave until someone from there has inspected it.

I don't have one yet either, but I try to be organized and a head of the game. I am worried I'm going to forget something when it comes time. I am a check list maker.
