I had a work meeting for two days this week and I soooooooo do not want to go back to work now. A coworker of mine (who is due in 2 weeks) and I asked our boss if we could work from home for a while. He said he didn't mind but had to pass it by the rest of the partners in the office. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm hoping to find out tomorrow.

I really didn't expect to feel so strongly about it. I never thought I would be the type to want to stay at home, but I just absolutely hate the thought of putting Amelia in daycare - even though I totally trust the woman she would be staying with. I would love to just not work for a while but unfortunately DH's job isn't secure enough for me to do that. His workplace has had 6 layoffs in the last 8 years. *sigh* I still have a month left on maternity leave, though - thank goodness.

I'm sorry, Hollie. I for sure wasn't ready to go back until a few days before I went back. It helped that Elliott was staying with DH for the first month I went back to work. It isn't an option for me to stay home, either. I hope you enjoy every last moment of your maternity leave!

Fingers crossed that you will be able to work from home for a bit! Try to enjoy this last month you have left of maternity leave. I can't even think about the day I'll be going back to work. But it's what we have to do as well.

I know how you feel, I really didn't think I would mind going back to work, but I hate leaving him! Luckily I can work form home most of the time. Enjoy your last month of maternity leave and my fingers are crossed for some good news about them letting you work at home!

I hope you can work from home, I´m not looking forward to going back to work either, but DH is a student at the minute and me staying at home too isnt an option.
