I'm Alive!!!

I am sooo sorry I have been MIA! I havent logged on at all!! The past few months have been completely crazy!! How is everyone doing! I need to stalk you guys to see whos popped and whose new!

I have had a very rough last month or so. I have had 2 big problems at work and that has interferred with my personal time on the comp. We also had a friend of ours that got into a motorcycle accident that was in trauma for over a week and unfort. didnt make it. He passed away two weeks ago. It was a mission though, I had to do all the furneral arragments and start a collection. His mother who is from South America didnt have $ to bury him here, so she was just going to ship him off directly to her native country. But we (all his friends) wanted to say a final goodbye, so we told her if we could collect $ and do a viewing here at least to say our goodbyes. She agreed and we ended up collecting all the $ needed! Needless to say it sucks to make furneral plans for your friend. Its a very surreal thing. That hasnt completely sunk in yet.

Also I have been going to all my appts at the OBGYN and at the Peri. So I miss a lot of work too. So I try to catch up as much as I can and dont log on.

Well the babies are doing good so far!! I went and had my NT Scan and they said that they are looking great. I have a set of bloodwork to do this friday and then next friday is the anatomy scan, so hopefully I can see what they are! I have gone so many times to the doc already and she keeps poking to see and they dont want to move! They have their legs closed and are being too shy! LOL

I though started for 2 weeks also of nausea and gagging..I thought I had gotten away with it but it came out of the blue but now im controlling it with crackers

My doctor hasnt gotten to crazy with me yet on the weight, b/c I havent gained anything I have lost more, so now she said that my next appt. I guess if I havent gained anything then I will have to start drinking ensures that I need my calories. I try to eat but I cant I get too full too soon. She hopes that now that im in my 2nd tri that my appetite opens up a bit more. So we will see.

I have also had some pains and stuff, lots of ligament pains. My doc had me on "couch rest" yesterday to see if the pains would go away a bit. but honestly I dont look pregnant! I looked bigger during my 8 wks than now! I think all that was just swelling from the IVF.

But we are all doing OK. I am just glad that im in the second tri already. Everytime I woudl go to the doctor I would close my eyes and tell her to find two heartbeats because I was so scared of losing one or both. So now she said my chances of just a loss out of blue go down more.

I am sorry that ive been gone its just been crazy. I cant even imagine how I am going to be with 2 kids! LoL...

For your entertainment LOL a couple of U/S of my little ones...I have sooo many but they are not all scanned..it would take forever LOL..I also have one from 13 wks but havent uploaded that yet either.

P.S. at the 13 week u/s, one baby was dancing with his hands up!! it was soooo funny! and the other was singing it kept opening and closing his/her mouth it was too funny!

YAY!! I am glad you are still alive!

I am so sorry about your friend though but it was so great of you to make the arrangements. I know that was probably very stressful.

I actually lost weight in the beginning too and didn't start gaining until after 20w! I did start drinking ensure as well and it helped me feel like I wasn't depriving my baby. Have they given you any meds for the nausea?? I STILL have to take a zofran every now and then (actually took one this morning!) because of it but it helps. Hopefully your appetite picks up soon.

Congratulations on being well into the 2nd tri! Your babies look wonderful! Keep up the good work!

Jessy!!! Weve missed you, glad to hear you and the bubs are doing well. Have you guys got names thought up yet incase they do open up for you nxt week? Or is it a big secret? Cant remember if you mentioned it before.

Very sorry to hear about your friend. Im so pleased you got to say goodbye though. Mustve been very stressful. Theres a weekly update thread if you get time which a lot of ppl have posted on as you havent probably got time to go trawling through all the threads. Hope you get a chance to come on a bit more. Sending you lots of OLV for next week

Great to hear from you Jessy!! I am sooo sorry that you have had to endure some difficult situations!! However, I am glad to hear that the babies are doing well!! I say two boys!! HA!

Welcome back! So sorry to hear about all the work and personal troubles, particularly the loss of your friend. I'm glad your babies are doing well, and hopefully you can start putting on some weight soon.

It's good to hear from you. I'm sorry your friend in the accident didn't make it. I remember you mentioning him before.

I'm surprised your doctor is so worried about your weight gain as long as the babies look good. Make sure you're eating lots of protein. I was drinking protein shakes for a while since I couldn't stomach a lot of high protein foods. I prefered to buy my own protein powder and mix it rather than buy mixed ones like ensure. I tried to get one with only a little sugar in it so I didn't have too many empty calories.

congrats on making it to your second trimester

I hope your little ones cooperate soon so you can find out the genders.

Im soo sorry to hear about your friend, thats very sad. Im sorry you have been so busy. Im very glad to hear things are going well though and cant wait to find out what you are having, any belly pics anywhere??
