Hey ladies, I have been feeling a sharp pain below my belly button kind of in a straight verticle line. Could this be round ligament pain? I'm only 9 weeks and was wondering if any of you ladies felt this early on and when round ligament pain typically starts. I had a tiny bit of pink spotting yesterday, so I'm pretty nervous. Would love to hear anyone else's experiences with this!

I had ligament pain from very early on, most of mine was more across my lower belly from what I remember but I guess it can differe for everyone. If youre really worried def go see the doctor, especially with the spotting, although spotting is normal.
Hope its onlyligament pains for you.

I had round ligament pain early on as well. My Dr. told me there are ALL sorts of weird pains in the 1st trimester, because your uterus is getting ready. If you are concerned in any way though, I would call your Dr. just for your own peace of mind.

Oh yes...I have had it the whole pregnancy. Usually if it hurts more when you first stand up or roll over too fast in bed it is round ligament pain. Sometimes it can even feel crampy which makes you worry but is totally normal.

I had it very early on too - even before I got my BFP (though it wasn't as strong as it has gotten lately). I've even had AF type cramps in the last couple of months and my doctor said it's normal.

If the spotting continues though and the pain gets worse I'd see a doctor just to be safe.

Thanks girls! The spotting has been an almost constant thing and the doc wasn't worried at my last check-up. Plus, I haven't had anymore spotting since that last incident. Thanks for reassuring me about your round ligament pains. It did mainly happen if I stretched or turned suddenly. I really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences!

I only had mine a couple times, and it was much earlier (like maybe weeks 6-10). It would happen if I moved suddenly, or stretched, or got out of bed. Typically on either side of my lower abdomen. It was a quick, but pretty painful sharp pain. I thought it would get worse as the pregnancy went on, but *knock on wood* I haven't had it much.
