Hi ladies,

I'm trying to keep myself sane here. I'm actually feeling and looking smaller this week. It makes me nervous, I'm afraid that something could be wrong. I'm really trying to get that thought out of my head because maybe like my mother says it's just the position of the baby that is changing.
Has this ahppend to anyone else? Maybe I'm also less bloated? I'm 16 weeks and 1 day I'm going to take a picture tonight but I'm sure it's smaller......... Maybe I'm also just getting used to having a bigger belly? I don't know anymore I just want to stay positive.

I've definitely had weeks where I felt the same or smaller than the prior week, especially earlier on. I had some serious bloating during my first trimester so I know things changed weekly. Try not to freak out, you could just be less bloated or the baby has shifted or something.

I second Diane. I definitely had some bloating in the beginning too and it changed week to week. Are you gaining OK? I know how hard it is in the beginning to overanalyze everything, but try to relax (I know it's hard). If it really starts bothering you, call your doc. Have you been taking any belly pics so we can see if we see any difference?

I did the same thing around 16 weeks. Some days the bloating was down and I looked alot smaller. I remember one day having a pretty flat tummy, then it came back a few hours later.

You look totally normal to me! We all grow and gain weight differently. Some women haven't gained ANYTHING at this point (and may even be down a few pounds due to m/s), whereas others might be up 15-20 lbs or even more. I can see a healthy little bump there, and as your bloating goes down it is normal that it might shrink down a bit. I wouldn't worry at all.

Girl, you look wonderful!!! I totally agree with everyone else, and I also think we tend to get used to our bellies and don't realize how much they are growing! Have you considered getting a doppler? It may help put your mind at rest a bit

Oh yes I bought the Angels Sounds on E- I can't wait to get it. I really want to hear the baby's heart again. I have an appointment on Aug 25 so I'll also talk to my Doctor about the belly and if she isn't worried then I won't either. I can now feel my uterus 3 inches below my navel, whereas before I couldn't really feel anything. When I think in facts it just reassures me, and talking to you guys about it helps ALOT! Thank you so much! I feel a bit stupid to overreact over things........... I guess it's only normal.

My doppler just came in on my lunch hour. I got to hear the heart beat for the second time!!!!! It was so amazing..... I can't wait to share this with Pascal tonight. I can't wait for the work day to be over so he can hear it for the first time.... I'm much more relaxed now, and super excited!! this was the best 40 $ spent in my life let me tell you that!!! Everyone should invest in one!
