My DH and I have a vacation planned in a couple weeks. We already bought tickets to go to Lagoon before we found out i was pregnant. I will be almost 7 weeks the day we go. Does anyone know if it's safe to ride on the rides? I do not want to do anything to harm my baby. I have no idea whether this could cause a m/c.
Can i still go or not?
Thanks in advance!

I would call your Dr. and see what they say. Usually it is suggested pregnant women do not go on rides, but I'm not sure if there is a time in early pregnancy when it is ok. I think, personally, I wouldn't go on them but that is becasue I would be so worried that I was going to cause some harm.

Hmm, I remember the roller coasters always had a big do not ride if pregnant sign on them. I'd definitely call the dr on that one!

I personally wouldn't ride the rides myself but your dr. should be able to clear that up for you.

I definitely wouldn't ride them if i was further along but i was unsure being 6 weeks at that time if it would matter.

Can you sell the tickets? I personally would never go on the rides while pg because it can cause risk and I know you would never want to risk anything. Id stick to the safe side and not go.

I wouldn't ride on big roller coasters...but if it's water ride where it's slow log cabin ride.. it's fine. 6 weeks is fairly early... read what development your baby will have at 6 weeks

Krista?
Is Lagoon an amusement park or a lagoon?!?
If it is roller coaster rides...I'd say hold out, most roller coaster say that if you are PG, you shouldn't ride anyway...and I'd say just to be safe, it would probably put your mind most at ease (I've tried to be most careful in the first trimester because of how many things could go wrong cause at the time everything is forming, LOL, I'll probably be much more relaxed as I get further along)...
Not saying that it would hurt the baby (I think some of the warnings are there to keep the amusement parks from any liability just in case), I'm just ultra paranoid
And just think - next year at this time not only can you go on all the rides, but you'll be a mommy also - YEAH!!!

Just keep in mind, the nurse may tell you its perfectly ok to go on some rides, but ultimatly you need to do what you feel is best. IMO with your history of having a loss, id be extra paranoid and extra careful. I just dont want to see you have to kick yourself or blame yourself or anything if something ever did happen after you went on rides, even if that isnt the cause (which you would be left wondering). I hope and Pray you have a happy and healthy nine months no matter what you decide to do.

I've also always heard no roller coasters while pregnant, which is why we didn't go this summer I'll be interested to hear what your dr says, because I've never really asked. I think for liability purposes, they say no to just about everything!

Interested to hear what the nurse will say. I, like the other girls, wouldn't go. I'm so paranoid in the first trimester that hubby and I had tickets to a No Doubt concert that we purchased months earlier and then I found out I was pregnant (I was only 6 weeks at the time), and so we didn't even go. Baby first!

The nurse said there's no proof either way but that if i went on the rides i'd be putting my baby at risk. You ladies know i WON'T do that! Baby means way too much to me I'll leave it up to DH whether he still wants to go and just hang out there or sell the tickets. But no matter what NO rides for me! I'm more than okay with it.
Thanks Erika You're always looking out for me! You are very right. If i decided to go on any rides and something DID happen i'd blame myself for sure.

that's too bad you have to miss out, but in the long run it'll make you feel better knowing you took all possible precautions

I'm sorry you'll have to miss out on the rides. That stinks but in the long run it's better. I wish we had a vacation planned, I'm so jealous. Have fun!
