Was gonna take a shower and call it a night, but decided to try for my 2-3 minutes to see if I could find baby with the Doppler (I have the HiBebe which says that you can hear it between 10-12 weeks, and I'm past 12 right now)...I've been trying every few days since 8 weeks, so, to say that I wasn't expecting much is an understatement...

Anyway, I glopped on more gel than I normally do, and put the thing lower - really low - than I normally do - and I FINALLY heard something!!!!!! I was able to get a reading between 146-165 on the Doppler!!!!! I called Matt in, and he was really excited also - YEAH!!!

I only listened for a minute, and it was not loud (very different than my heartbeat which is very loud and distinct) but it was just so comforting and amazing to hear

IDK, I really have had no evidence of baby IRL - I have no morning sickness, I have no bump, I just have these wonderful little pics that I can only get from the OBs office...its so amazing to have real evidence at home

Yay! I rented one too, and I know how relieving it can be to hear that, especially since you have no symptoms like I didn't.

I definitely suggest using a good amount of gel, staying low, and doing it with a full bladder in the beginning. Now that you know what you're listening for too, it should be easier! Congrats! I am just going to send mine back this weekend (it was a month to month rental) because I feel kicks daily now.

I know what you mean, about no signs. I think that is toughest part those few weeks when you feel better and you feel like normal really. It's like if there is no tangible proof. The pictures, it's as if they belong to someone else really. Hearing the heart for myself was really amazing, and then I couldn't wait to feel it move. It's like if it's never enough........ And now I feel it move finally and that is so amazing. I was so impatient in the beginning because it was so unreal. There is always something to look forward to, which helps make the time fly by. I think once you'll feel it move, you'll feel even better.

What a great thing! I didn't have a home doppler but I remember what a relief it was to hear her heartbeat at my appointments, such a good feeling. I'm glad you were able to find it!
