I X-posted this from my DDC, but figured you ladies might have some insight too! Anyone had a similar experience....?
I just got a phone call from my dr's office for my beta results. She says everything is doubling fine and looks great for pregnancy. My first ones taken last Thursday were 146 (at 16 DPO) then they repeated them Monday (20 DPO) since they aren't open on the weekend so Monday's results were 1451, so they've more than doubled. *whew* So then she says I need to make an appt with my dr and and ultrasound appt. Well I already had my dr's appt for sept 14th so I call back to make an ultrasound appt (no I don't know why they couldn't just transfer me ) Well the appt girl seems to be confused because they have me down for an ultrasound at my appt that day. So I tell her I thought that's what they said but the girl who gave me my betas said I need to make another one. So she puts me on hold to go ask the dr. She comes back and said the dr wants to squeeze me in asap before that appt. So now I'm going Monday (which I'm excited about getting to see the bean earlier!) for an ultrasound. But they have me nervous! The girl said something about my dr wanting to make sure something's there! And when my dr sent me for betas in the first place so sort of said in passing wanting to make sure its not ectopic! Now I haven't had any bleeding or anything, just some mild cramping and occasional shooting pains in the ovary area (but on both sides and they are brief) which I told my dr about. Do you think my dr is just being overly cautious or does she think something's wrong and not telling me? I should include that I do have a history of endometriosis (just had surgery in March) and ovarian cysts rupturing. So is it possible she's just being cautious with my past history? She wouldn't outright tell me when TTC, but I had read that people with endo do have higher rates of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancies. She just said she isn't sure there's enough research to prove it. Okay I'm just rambling now, but geez way to make a girl nervous! Has anyone had this sort of experience?

Unless something showed up on your bloodwork that is a question of concern, I'm thinking that she/he is just being cautious because of what you've said. I could be wrong....but if everything is going okay, I don't think you should worry.
To add - I don't think anything that would have showed up on your bloodwork would actually diagnose whether something is actually wrong. Honestly, unless your doctor ordered a full panel bloodwork, it is most likely that the lab only checked your hcG levels and nothing else.

Don't worry Momma! I think that they are just being cautious! If it were anything serious, they would get you in ASAP, and you wouldn't even have to wait a day! I'm sure they probably just want another look because of the surgery and all! Just being safe and covering their behinds. I know it is hard, but try to relax and think positive thoughts!

It doesnt sound like there is any reason for concern, your bw looks great. I wouldnt worry, im sure everything is fine and maybe the dr just wants to do a u/s to ease your mind about the endo situation.

Yea, what everyone up there said
The doc was probably looking at your history, and just wants to make sure that given the endo that everything looks good...but those numbers look perfect...and with no spotting, and with numbers doubling like that, you should definitely be thinking positive!!
BTW, I got major ovary pains during 5-6 weeks...it was the corpus luteum producing all that progestrone - it wasn't used to that...so, again, even those pains sound good...
And, HOORAY for getting to see baby so soon

... I think considering your history, your doc is just wanting to be doubly sure that everything is going perfectly.
Don't worry yourself Momma Carla!! That bean is just fine!!!

Thank you ladies! It just gets so scary when they start throwing around the word "ectopic" and all that! It's like don't tell me that! But I feel good about everything so far so hopefully I get to see my little bean Monday and ease my mind! So I won't be 6 weeks yet, almost but not quite. So I'm assuming I won't see much more than a sac?

I think that everything is likely okay, but I know it's impossible not to worry. . . It sounds like you doctor wants to ensure that your corpeus lutuem cyst is okay. . . it sustains the embryo until the placenta is fully developed and can become quite large. That is likely why you are feeling pain. It sounds like your doctor wants to err on the side of caution--that's a great quality to have in a doctor, in my opinion!

Your betas look great, so I am sure she just wants to make sure everything is going well considering your past history. Let us all know how your appt goes on Monday!!

I think they're just being cautious. One of my friends had surgery for her endometriosis and got pregnant right away - she was considered high risk and went in for US's all the time. She had a normal pregnancy. I wouldn't worry

I agree with the other ladies, I am sure the DR is just being overly cautious because of your history.
