Well, ladies... the good news is that JM is MUCH faster for me here at work for somereason so I imagine I'll be checking in a lot more. The bad news is today is my first day back at work. I got a bit teary this morning when I dropped Amelia off. I'm doing okay now, but I miss her so much.

I need to get my butt in gear and get a new siggy, too. I have some good pics so I just need to do it.

My daycare provider is so nice, so that makes me feel better. I just miss her so much. I'm going to call this afternoon to see how things are going.

Hollie and Gwen, it does get much easier. Just wait, when you pick them up one day and they are able to respond by giving you a great big huge smile, then start crawling across the floor at a high speed because they are so HAPPY to see their mommy. I am getting chills just thinking about it. Tori does that very thing, it just warms my heart........oh and now I am a little teary eyed!!

Ohhhhh! You made me get a little teary eyed, too! I called Amelia's daycare provider a few minutes ago and she is doing well. I hate to admit it, but when I brought her yesterday I think she really seemed to enjoy being with the other kids. There is another infant and three two year olds (twin boys and a girl). She seemed fascinated with watching and listening to them. I don't know - maybe I'm just trying to make it easier on myself by thinking that, but at least she is in good hands with her daycare woman. She's so nice. And my mom is going to watch her one day a week, too. I can't wait to see her today! I'm going to leave work a little early.

Okay, I have to respond again...........y'all are going to get sick of me talking about my child HAHA!! Anyway, Tori loves, loves, loves the other kids. I am so glad that she does because it is fun to see her interact. Because of the number of children that you indicated, I assume that Amelia is in a home based day care, is that correct? Tori is in a home based daycare and I would not have it any other way. I love it, *knocks on wood* I have not had to really be out with Tori much with illnesses. She has several different ages as well, so I am glad that Tori interact well with several different age groups......her provider keeps Tori at 10 months, 1 girl that is almost 1 year, 1 girl that is almost 2, one girl that is probably 2 1/2, one boy that is 3 and the last is a newborn and has not started daycare yet.

I know it is hard. . . quite an adjustment, to be sure. It does get a bit easier over time, but still some days are hard to be away from Elliott. IT helps immensely when you trust your childcare provider.

(PS I've been playing around with Photoshop and would be happy to create a siggy for you. . . I don't know anything too fancy. . . )

I'm sure it will be hard for awhile. I hope that as the days pass by, it will get easier...

I totally understand that, Melissa. It's nice to be able to check my e-mail and things like that. If only I could get paid the same and work half days.

I find great satisfaction in the work I do. . . but if I could do half-time or half-days, it would be PERFECT!
