So I'm back to work and pumping. Bagh! What a pain! I'm definitely going to keep it up and hope to make it to the year mark, but I see why I really didn't get into pumping much the three months I was home. My work cleaned out a walk in closet that no one used for me and another girl who is still on her maternity leave so atleast we have a nice, private place to pump.

Amelia will be 13 weeks old this weekend! I can hardly believe it. She's gotten very smiley and moves all the time. I call her squirm worm when she's doing her crazy moving. It's so cute! I'm definitely bummed to be back at work, but leaving her at daycare in the mornings has at least gotten somewhat easier. I'm going to be leaving pretty soon today to get her. Yay! OH!!!!! AND my boss is going to let me work from home on Mondays. I'm so excited!!!! So she'll only be in daycare three days a week since my mom is going to watch her one day, too. Nothing against her daycare provider. She's great, but of course I'd rather have her with me or my mom.

How is everyone else doing?

Pumping is hard work! Lilyana refused to nurse twice yesterday and once already this morning so I have had to pump for those three feedings. It is such a pain! I'm glad she is still getting bm, but man...nursing is so much easier. I am so glad I stuck with it!

That is great you get to work from home on Monday's!

Boo To having to return to work! I am still stretching my time out. I am not sure when I am returning. I know it's sometime this month, but I am waiting for human resources to get back to me.
Kerriganis doing really good, we're starting to transition her to her crib now that she's on reflux meds. It's hard because she's so used to sleeping with us that she wakes up frequently. When she sleeps with us, she sleeps for about 12 hours. Ah well, it will be better in the long run.
Glad to hear you are doing so well Hollie. We have missed having you around!

I know what you mean about pumping...but I'm slowing realizing that it's a nice break to get away from all the chaos!! I've learned to bring a magazine or book to help pass the time. How long are you pumping for? How much are you getting at a time? I'm trying so hard to up my supply to keep up with her. For the past several weeks, she has decided she no longer wants to latch so I'm officially an exclusive pumper. I think she has gotten lazy and doesn't want to work that hard. At first it was hard for me to except, but I'm ok with it now. I'm just going to pump as long as I possibly can and go from there. So far, I'm so proud to say that she is almost 3 months old and I've never had to supplement! Anyway, Hollie I'm so glad you are back around! Miss ya girlie!!

Hollie and Toni!!!! It is soooooo great to see you on the board! Pumping is hard, hard work. There is NO doubt. Luckily, I could pump in my own office, so would take that time to get on JM a bit. At 6 months, I decided that the pump had to go and slowly weaned myself. We now BF only first thing in the morning and one time before bed. I must say, I don't miss the pump at all! It was good while it lasted because it served a higher purpose.

I applaud all of you for pumping your little hearts out!

Gwen, I'm pumping for 10 to 15 minutes at a time and I think once so far I got 4 ounces. Most of the time it's 2-3, but I definitley notice I'm getting more as time goes on. I pumped this morning for the first time since Friday and I got 3.5 so that's a good sign. Hopefully I'll get a good amount tomorrow. That's a good idea about the book/magazine. I'm going to do that tomorrow. That's awesome that you could pump in your office, Courtney. I would love to get online while pumping! It would make time go by so much faster.

That's awesome that you're still pumping so much, Gwen. I imagine it's tough, but like you said, it's worth it. Pretty soon our little ones will be trying their first food!! I'm excited for out 4 month appt to see when we can start. They're growing so fast! I can't believe it!
