DH and I were talking this weekend about when we want to try to have another baby. We decided sooner than later since we're both in our early 30s and it took us a little while last time. What about everyone else? Do you think you want another? How long will you wait? I'm sure for those who are preggo it's probably tough to think about #2 just yet. I'm surprising myself that I'm even thinking about it at this point - although TTC#2 won't likely be a reality for a little while anyway. I think I'm more scared about being sick again than I am of labor!

I would love a third and don't want to wait too long. Maybe when the girls are a year. DH would need a different job though to afford another. His comission checks are basically non existent now so we've taken a huge pay cut.

We're not preventing not trying, so it could happen anytime and we'd be excited! Hopefully baby #2 won't take us 18 cycles (another reason we're NTNP along with TTC was soooooo hard for us, since it took so long and everyone else was getting pregnant- my SIL had one son and got prego with the next before we even got prego.. so it was so rough for us. so we don't want to go thru that heartache again) I'm worried that baby #2 will take a long time like DS did and that I'll need fertility meds. We'd also like for them to be close in age.

Much like Lindsey, we're basically NTNP. We use condoms if we get to them. . . I still haven't gotten a real period, so I don't know what my body will do now that I've been pg. Our agreement is to wait until we are in a new house (with more room) before we start actively trying again. I'm figuring sometime in the spring. We are also in our 30's and don't want to wait too long!

Just wanted to put it out there that it took my sister 2 years to get pregnant with her first so when her and her DH talked about a second, they too thought it would take a while! She got preggo on her first cycle NTNP.
My co-worker, same thing: 2 years to get preggo, after nursing for 8 months decided to NTNP, was preggo a few cycles later.
I think once your body knows what to do, it will come much faster! Good luck for those of you NTNP now or in the near future!!!

Well, I originally wanted to have #2 quickly, but now since we have had so many problems with Paige, I think we may wait a bit longer than expected. DH questions even having another one at all, but I absolutely want another one. We will probably only have one more though. I was an only child and do not want to have just one so we will definitely have one more just unsure when. We are still in the colicky phase so it's so hard to even consider another one right now!!!

I'd like to wait until Siera is 2-3 years old. I think that's a good age difference. My brother and I are 4 years apart and even that's not so bad.

I'm pregnant but already thinking about #2! I'd be thinking about #3, #4, etc but DH won't let me
I plan to not go on BC after giving birth and start TTC immediately. I plan to EBF, so it might take a while for my cycles to return anyway. (of course I say this before I have my first lol)

I change my mind every single day. The Dr told us we should wait 16 months before trying again because of the c-section... That would make Steve like 45 by the time the next one is born. Not to mention if we have to do fertility tx again. We'll see.

Good luck girls!
I do know when I have my first baby, we will TTC #2 immediately after... because of MFI... of course this is depend on how many babies via IVF.. if we get triplets.. we will try again ONE MORE for twins or singleton. LOL I'd like to be pregnant as many times as I can til we are done!

I've never heard of this either!! my co-worker I mentioned earlier had a c-section with her first and was pregnant again when her first was 8 months old. She elected for a second c-section instead of a VBAC but she said the second time around is MUCH easier! Just and FYI!

We have already decided that we won't use any prevention once Savannah is born - because of the MFI our chances of conceiving naturally are less than 5% - so we'll just NTNP until we do IVF again - probably in April 2011.

We were ntnp & I did think I might be pg last month but I wasn't I really really want another one, but I know it's practical to wait until we're in a bigger house & have more room & things are more settled financially. But I still want another I know that if I did get pg, we'd work it out as we always do. Neither of us wants to wait much longer since we're both in our early 30s as well. It also took us 10 months to conceive Allie. We were talking over the wknd & thought maybe the next one at 32 (2 years) & our 3rd (if there will be one) at 34. I'm adamant about not having children past 35, but that's just us...not for everyone else...just important to us for various reasons.
So I just filled my Yasmin rx over the wknd

I'm not even close to popping out #1, but we've already talked about #2, cause I'll be 33 and DH will be 34 when this one is born...and with my cycles being really messed up and having to take fertility medication, etc...
it took a while the first time around...
We want to have a total of 2, so, we are going to try when this little one is 6 months old...and hopefully we can catch the eggie before this one is a year (that would be ideal of course, but you know, it happens when it happens )...

Since I'll have just turned 30 when this one is born, and we want three total, we won't wait too long between. Probably rely on BFing and FAM method for 6-8 months then NTNP for a year or so. If we haven't caught the egg by the time this baby is a year and half old, we'll start charting and actively TTC again.

Yeah, actually the Dr that performed the c-section and my dr said the same thing... That my uterus needs time to heal.... I may just double check though because IF we decide we are gonna have another one... I want it SOON

I think we'd like to have our next one in 3 years. Maybe we'll start trying around Brady's 2nd birthday.
