ok so im almost positive i just lost my moucus plug! now i have been checking the tp for the past few weeks to see if i have lost it yet, and when i just wiped..literally like 5 min ago, i checked and it looked like i had a bit of extra cm, so i wiped again and a big glob of snotty lookin stuff came out and i just had to show SO, of course he doesnt know, so i wiped again and there was more.
i just texted my sister and asked what hers looked like when she lost it and she said a glob of snot so i think i just lost it.
SO said something about it being his leftover, if ya know what i mean, but its been 3 days and i wouldnt have that much leftover coming out now right??
so my question i guess is, was this my moucus plug??
if so im kinda starting to freak cause we are not ready yet, and with this and the cramping and backache ive had, i have a feeling she might be coming sooner than i though.

Sounds like it could be to me. I've known people who loose their plug and go into labor that night, but my sister lost hers in pieces and it took two weeks for her to go into labor after that. My advice is be ready for anything, but take it easy and put your feet up and try to hold on as long as possible. Also (I'm sure you are) but moniter your contractions. Have you talked to your OB yet? I would call and ask them their opinion. Good luck! Exciting times!!!

Sounds like the plug to me. I never lost mine before being induced, but it sounds like all the descriptions I've ever heard. I know Lindsey (LindsLuvsSi) lost her part-way through her pregnancy and went on to be 2 weeks overdue, and then some people in my PR lost theirs and delivered within 3 days or so. Good luck and KUP!

hopefully you'll end up like your sister, and not go into labor for another week or two. but just in case, I'd call your OB and be extra wary of any cramping feelings.

Yes, it definitely sounds like your mucus plug. If any more continues just call your doc. The cramping could be the start of your contractions. I woke up in the middle of the night with blood then the cramps started then the contractions started soon after! This is sooo exciting. Do you feel "not right" or like you are coming down with the flu? It could also be too that you just had a doc appointment where they checked you for dilation right? Sometimes that makes things progress. At least it did for me. KUP!!!

could be around the corner but could be a few weeks yet....hopefully not the latter though! Make sure you get everything ready just in case but dont get your hopes up too much. Everyday you go over makes you feel like its another day too long, even though it doesnt mean it is.

Yep I lost mine at 21 weeks, it grew up and I lost it again 4 days before DS was born. Sounds like it is your plug. GL!!! She may be coming or may not be, everyone is so different

Okay, Erica, I must chime in on this........I lost mine and my water broke when I was 37 weeks and 2 days, which is tomorrow for you. Anyway, I am not saying that your baby is definitely coming, because as some of the ladies mentioned, everyone is different, but, just be prepared. Ironically enough, DH and I had DTD on a Friday night and Sunday is when all of my excitement took place, Tori was born. It does sound like your MP!! Good luck.
