Unfortunately, I have caught a cold I have been fighting it for days, but alas, the running nose, the sore throat and the sneezing have me admitting that I am sick. Great way to start the first day of my medical leave...

Anyways...does anyone know what is SAFE to take for a cold? I am so miserable, can't breathe, etc. I do have a blood pressure check tomorrow at the doctors so I could wait until then, but I was hoping for some relief tonight if possible....

i believe the lowest dosage of sudafed is safe

Yes, Sudafed is what my doctor recommended for a cold. Feel better!

Thanks girls. I only ended up taking some tylenol last night since I also had a huge headache, unfortunately, the relief didn't last long.

yep, tylenol and sutafed are about it as far as oral meds go. you can do cough drops (I liked the homeopathic green tea and honey ones) and you can do nasal sprays for congestion, but that's about it. so sorry! I was there a few weeks ago - it is NOT NOT NOT fun
