So, I had my 25 wk OB appt today - everything has been pretty picture perfect my whole pregnancy - so I was expecting more of the same. Wow was I wrong!
First - I'm up a total of 16.5 pounds already - which I'm not too happy with but whatever it's what the baby needs obviously. Second, my blood pressure was high! They took it 3 times and each time it just went up even higher! UGH -so then the Doctor measures me and I'm measuring at 26 wks (I'm 24wks 4days) - not a huge deal since Savannah has been measuring 1.5 weeks ahead the entire time.
So I got sent up to L&D for monitoring - they hooked me up and everything was great with Savannah - her heartbeat was in the 150's the entire time and she kept kicking the pad thing  They also took a bunch of blood and an urine sample - everything's good with that - I'm not spilling any protein or anything. I just have to do a 24hr urine collection to make sure there's absolutely no protein at all.
I also got an ultrasound to check my fluid levels - everything was normal with that as well. She is breech right now - facing my spine and sitting on my cervix with her feet over her head. We got wonderful pictures of her face -she's so beautiful! 
So yeah - not a good day at all.. I have another OB appt next week to check on everything

thanks - after the u/s they took my blood pressure again and it went back down to normal - so I'm hoping that it stays that way

Maybe it just made you nervous once it was up! Hopefully everything will be ok, and it was just a one time deal. About the weight I'm the same way I've gained 17 pounds too and I'm happy with it because it means the baby is growing too It's the best way to see it and stay positive.

Same thing happened to me this past Friday, only my BP have been up for much of the pregnancy...
Hoping that this is just a fluke for you and the your BP remains good throughout the rest of your pregnancy!

I'm sorry to hear your BP was up, but that's great that everything looks good with your baby. Try not to stress about your weight! I was up to about 20 lbs by 25 weeks - I was a normal weight for my size prior to pregnancy so my doctor said she was fine with that, and she's been ok with my weight at every appt. Though at my last appt at 30 weeks I hadn't gained any weight! So it balances itself out.

I am sorry it was a rough appt. On the bright side everything is okay with your LO. and if it makes you feel any better I am up like 35lbs. LOL.

Sorry about the BP but sounds pretty good otherwise & yay for getting to see LO!  Hopefully everything remains stable from now on. I had to do the 24 hour urine collection... kinda of a PITA but what can ya do!

So sorry April! I can relate to the wight gain. It sucks but try not to think about it. You can loose it all after she is here. I'm glad to hear your bp went back down. I hope things go better at your next appt. That's cool you got to see your LO again. I won't be getting anymore u/s so I'm a little bummed out about that.

Boo for high BP! I am very happy that you got to see Savannah to reassure you, though. When will you have results of the 24-hour urine? I really hope this is a false alarm!
